Intern, Education Digital Video Production (Spring 2018) - USA Football (Indianapolis, IN)

Summary: USA Football is seeking a highly motivated individual who will serve as a video production specialist. This position will be responsible for assisting the Education Video Production Coordinator with the production of football education video assets.        

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Edit video segments of USAFB courses and other miscellaneous videos using Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects.
  • When necessary, assist with video shoots.
  • Oversee the curation, uploading, encoding, and distribution of video assets.
  • Perform supplemental duties related to the digital media production process as assigned by the Education Video Production Coordinator and the Senior Manager, Modular Content/Courses.

Education: Recent graduate (within past 6 months) or current student pursuing a degree in Film, Media Production, Video Production or another related field of study

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere or a similar non-linear editing system
  • Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Audition.
  • Working knowledge of how to capture high quality audio and video.
  • Basic understanding of video production technology (cameras, audio recording equipment, lighting equipment, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • General Football Knowledge is preferred but not required 

Notes:

  • Internship begins January 8, 2018 and ends April 27, 2018
  • Internship is full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Internships are unpaid, with a $775 nominal monthly stipend, plus parking allowance
  • Reports to Coordinator, Education Video Production
  • Position will be located at USA Football’s headquarters based in Indianapolis, IN
  • Must secure housing and transportation in Indianapolis 
  • USA Football supports interns seeking academic credit
  • Interns must identify learning goals and work with supervisor to achieve goals
    • Examine the organization and its industry/environment
    • Analyze and interpret functions and responsibilities
    • Observe professionals in various roles and participate with them where appropriate
    • Apply academic learning to practical and professional work experiences
    • Learn how to perform specific tasks
