Summary:

The Communications Intern will be responsible for assisting the Communications/Public Relations Department in a variety of duties. We are looking for a responsible, organized, hardworking detailed individual who would like to gain experience in the PR and sports industry.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Support the Communications department in all areas. Duties would include, but not limited to:

  • Collect, organize and distribute daily clips
  • Assist with gameday duties including press box set-up, in game responsibilities and late press box obligations
  • Coordinate and execute post-game interviews and transcriptions
  • Responsible for transcription of weekly press conferences
  • Tabulate team and individual statistics for various uses
  • Assist media with post-practice requests and help control locker room traffic
  • Write content for Seahawks.com and Gameday Magazine
  • Assist sideline reporters and broadcast teams on game day
  • Coordinate and execute player/coach phone interviews
  • Develop and distribute weekly press releases and press packets
  • Responsible for distribution of weekly injury reports

  • Must be willing to help staff with occasional evening and weekend PR events

Required Skills:

Corporate Partnerships Intern - Seattle Seahawks (Renton, WA)

Summary:

Assist Corporate Partnerships Department in the planning and execution of sponsorship programs and advertising fulfillment. Duties include assisting staff with fulfilling elements of sponsorship contracts and promotional planning/set up for all Seahawks home game and partnership programs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Sponsorship Fulfillment

  • Lead fulfillment, execution and year-end wrap-up of the CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week program

Seahawks Game Day Execution

  • Must be available to work ALL home games to assist the team to execute Corporate Partnership promotions and contracted elements. Duties include:
  • Partnership Set-up/Take Down. Assist Corporate Partners staff and team with set up in-stadium and in Touchdown City for each home game
  • Game Presentation.  Will assist Partnership Operations Manager in creative development, approval process, day-of execution and proof of performance on game related elements including videoboard and digital signage.
  • Documentation. Will lead the effort to organize the department’s photography and video needs each game to utilize for the wrap up, and 16 sales process.

Required Skills:

  • Must have strong writing skills
  • Must have verbal communications skills to interact with clients and fans
  • Must have experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Photoshop
  • Business, Sports Management, Communications majors preferred
  • Candidates must be able to set up promotional & event programs. Promotional set-up often requires banner installation, carrying moderate sized promotional materials (posters, entry forms, prizes etc).

Digital Media Intern - Seattle Seahawks (Renton, WA)

Summary:

The Seahawks Digital Media Internship is a hands-on program designed to develop digital media professionals in the sports industry. The intern will assist the Seattle Seahawks digital media team with the daily management of the organization’s online properties including but not limited to Seahawks.com, and all active social media platforms.

The intern will be responsible for maintaining assigned content categories for the Seattle Seahawks, CenturyLink Field, the Sea Gals and other organizational websites.

By the end of the internship, and in accordance to their strengths and desire to build their weaknesses, the intern will have the opportunity to have first-hand experience in digital media management, digital content production, social media, videography, web design/development, ad-trafficking and the collaborative process that brings it all together.

The intern will be expected to learn heavily through experience and extensive resources will be available to facilitate the edification process at the intern’s initiative.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • This internship's workload will be a majority content management, with elements of social media and other digital content production like video
  • Trafficking of website advertisements and reporting for corporate partners
  • Reporting of key metrics and analytics to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the management of official mobile applications throughout the season and on game days
  • Posting of content (articles, press releases, photo galleries, videos) to official websites using a content management system

Summary:

The Digital Media Video Production Intern will observe and assist the Seattle Seahawks digital media team with the daily management and production of the organization’s online video content.  This position will also assist in management of the organization’s other digital content plan when needed.

Broadcast: Audio/Video Editing and Production
Game Presentation – Video Editor & Motion Graphics Animator - Seattle Seahawks (Renton, WA)

The Seattle Seahawks are seeking a creative and accomplished video editor/animator to join our in-house production team. This person has experience in video editing and motion graphics and is comfortable multi-tasking in a fast paced professional production environment. This role will fill a key position on our game presentation team, which creates the original content for the Seattle Seahawks in-stadium show. The ideal candidate should be open to creative feedback and eager to collaborate with multiple departments and individuals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Edit broadcast quality video/audio content for game day production and non-game day events.

  • Design and animate motion graphics for non-traditional screen sizes, including LED fascia boards.

  • Proficiency in audio editing and sound design

  • Assist with studio and field shoots with camera/audio/grip/lighting.

  • Be involved in all aspects of production, from concept to completion.

  • Work with other editors to manage Seahawks media assets, while following proper protocols.

  • Handle basic direction of events and production shoots when needed.

  • Feature research and footage collection for multiple projects.

  • Ensure Seahawks branding is implemented in all audio/visual productions.

  • Management of required content, delivery and distribution to necessary departments.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

  • Advanced proficiency of the Adobe CC Suite - Pr/Ae/Ps/Ai.

  • Adherence to strict video/audio delivery guidelines.

  • Familiarity with video codecs, bit-rate and best practices for sharing video on cloud based services & DVD creation.

  • Basic understanding of set lighting and placement.

  • Experience operating professional video cameras.

  • Strong understanding of non-linear story telling.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a highly demanding and time sensitive manner.

  • Keen eye for detail – ability to catch spelling errors, missing frames and out-of-sync audio.

  • Experience audio mixing and color correcting in Adobe Premiere.

  • Mac savvy.

Game Presentation – Video Production Intern - Seattle Seahawks (Renton, WA)

Summary:

The Seahawks Game Presentation internship is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in not just working in sports but entertainment as well. The primary focus of this position is to support the game presentation staff in their effort to engage the fans during Seattle Seahawks Games. This is done through the production of high quality video features and motion graphics that will be shown on the stadium video screens. In addition, the intern will have game day duties which will include producing video shoots, editing on tight deadlines, managing in-stadium bands and other live event support as needed. Summary:

Summary:

The Hospitality and Events Summer Intern will be responsible for assisting the Hospitality & Events Department in planning and executing various events that support internal staff and external partners.
