Digital Media Designer - Seattle Seahawks (Renton, WA)

The Seahawks Digital Media Designer will manage the design, layout and development of official team websites and digital media properties including Seahawks.com, CenturyLinkField.com, WaMuTheatherSeattle.com (a.k.a Conference and Convention Center web site) and official social media accounts.  This position will focus on front-end development and design.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Design websites, landing pages and microsites for the organization

  • Convert raw images and layouts into CSS/JS/HTML products

  • Build wireframes, prototypes and comp designs for digital media products

  • Work under direction of the digital media department and the creative department

  • Ability to create new designs while working within established brand guidelines

  • Serve as primary designer for digital media properties

  • Create user interfaces, using front-end code in HTML, CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript

  • Work with a variety of content managemeny systems

  • Create HTML and templates for email campaigns

  • Design graphical elements for social media properties

  • Develop custom digital experiences   

  • Work closely with internal departments to manage and execute web design and development projects

  • Manage relationships with outside developers

  • Serve as a champion for mobile-first design and development

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of two years of experience with creating webpages with HTML, CSS and Javascript

  • Minimum of two years of experience working in graphic design and web development

  • Experience in designing for mobile device platforms.

  • Strong understanding of football and the National Football League

Internet/New Media: Graphic Design/Creative Services
Digital Media Internship - Seattle Seahawks (Renton, WA)

The Seahawks Digital Media Internship is a hands-on program designed to develop digital media professionals in the sports industry. The intern will assist the Seattle Seahawks digital media team with the daily management of the organization’s online properties including but not limited to Seahawks.com, and all active social media platforms.

The intern will be responsible for maintaining assigned content categories for the Seattle Seahawks, CenturyLink Field, the Sea Gals and other organizational websites.

By the end of the internship, the intern will have received first-hand experience in digital media management, digital content production, social media, videography, web design/development and the collaborative process that brings it all together.

The intern will be expected to learn heavily through experience and extensive resources will be available to facilitate the edification process.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • This internship's workload will be a majority content management, with elements of social media and other digital content production like video
  • Trafficking of website advertisements and reporting for corporate partners
  • Reporting of key metrics and analytics to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the management of official mobile applications throughout the season and on game days
  • Posting of content (articles, press releases, photo galleries, videos) to official websites using a content management system
  • Collaborate and communicate with social managers in developing content calendar
  • Actively participate in the monitoring of official social media channels
  • Management of assigned site features
  • Assist in the filming of press conferences and events as needed
  • Produce assigned site and social content features (graphics, written, photo, video)

The Digital Media Video Intern will observe and assist the Seattle Seahawks digital media team with the daily management and production of the organization’s online video content.  This position will also assist in management of the organization’s social media and content plan when needed.

  • This internship's workload will be divided as follows: 80% video production, 10% non-video content management, 10% social media
  • Act as web videographer for press conferences and press events

  • Setup and teardown of live webcasts

  • Facilitate quality assurance of site features
  • Interview and host video packages when needed

Game Presentation internship - Seattle Seahawks (Renton, WA)

The Seahawks Game Presentation internship is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in not just working in sports but entertainment as well. The primary focus of this position is to support the game presentation staff in their effort to engage the fans. This is done through high quality events such as Seahawks training camp, 12th man flag raising, halftime performances, fan fests and many more. In addition to these live events, the intern will have an active role in the production of high-energy video features that will be shown on the stadium video screens.

This person will receive experience in event coordination, video production, video post-production, research and talent management.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Approximate workload will be divided as follows: 50% event coordination, 30% video production and 20% research

The Seahawks Social Media Producer manages the day-to-day planning, creation and publishing of social media content for official team accounts.  This role is responsible for social media content creation, social media monitoring, social media response and cross-channel social media integration.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
