The Washington Redskins are seeking a qualified individual to work in our "state of the art" kitchen and join our kitchen staff.  The Dishwasher is a kitchen staff position that focuses on cleaning and helps prepping great food items. 

The Dishwasher is expected to:

  • Maintain work area and equipment in "Like New" condition
  • Follow all safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
  • Report any items or equipment that seems not to be up to the highest standards
  • Use and maintain all equipment and work surfaces to company standards
  • Work with everyone to care for the needs of every guest
  • Help ensure that the guests get great food, served quickly in a clean, safe environment

Day to day job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Check for quality of product and freshness.  Alert the Executive Chef to anything that does not seem "First Class"
  • Keep up on all dishes, glassware and silverware to be cleaned and restocked
  • Keep the dish room clean and organized at all times, maintaining the highest level of safety and cleanliness
  • Organize all racks for safety and cleanliness, keep up on any would be missing items by alerting the Chefs
  • Keep the three compartment sink areas cleaned and organized
  • Keep up on daily and weekly cleaning lists as needed and set forth by the Executive and Sous Chefs
  • Clean as you go and make sure that all areas have a first rate look
  • Help out whenever necessary and look to be part of the team
  • Organize and keep mop sink area clean
  • Wipe down trash cans daily, keeping an eye on trash levels
  • Organize chemicals stored in mop sink area and throughout kitchen.  Make sure they are stored in accordance with food service standards
  • Follow up on daily and weekly cleaning lists that are set up by Executive Chef
  • Check over any prep or production sheets that may be left by Executive Chef
  • Make sure the dish machine has the appropriate chemicals and is operating at peak performance standards keeping an eye on spot checking dishes, glassware and silverware

PRINCIAL FUNCTION:
This position oversees management and profitability of bars, lounges and other beverage-related outlets.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop accurate and aggressive long and short range financial objectives relating to liquor sales.
• Ensure good safety practices of employees and guests throughout the facility, assist in the maintenance of proper emergency and security procedures.
• Generate maximum financial performance of the Beverage Department including responsibility for generation of revenue and effective cost controls.
• Hire and conduct orientation and training of personnel to meet department responsibilities.
• Implement corporate sales promotion programs and develop and implement local sales promotions in the lounges and bars.
• Maintain effective cost and portion controls in the Beverage Department.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Strategic Marketing Intern-SUMMER 2014 - Washington Redskins (Ashburn, VA)

The Washington Redskins are seeking an enthusiastic and creative individual to assist the Marketing Department as an intern for Summer 2014. The intern will assist in the development, implementation and coordination of numerous strategic marketing initiatives, with a strong focus in the Redskins Kids Club, Redskins Women’s platform and national “Redskins Rally” program and 2014 Training Camp fan zone initiatives and outreach.   • Event Planning for numerous Redskins events each month ranging from 50-300 guests; includes working with Redskins operations, managing guests and overall event execution.  Major events include a Kids Club Mini-Football Combine in February, Redskins Draft Day Party in April and strategic planning for 2014 Redskins Training Camp and all supporting events in Richmond, VA
  • Manage social media content and sweepstakes for various Redskins digital platforms
  • Content Creation and Management: Manage monthly e-newsletters for fan clubs, help to build online presence including blogs and content for fan club websites (WOWRedskins.com, RedskinsKidsClub.com)
  • Database management for multiple fan databases and overall customer service; Will work with fan club members and parents in one-on-one situations to solve individual issues

This position directs, plans and guides all operations in the warehouse.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Direct and maintain efficient centralized warehousing operation by establishing control procedures for cataloging, inventory control, bulk storage and distribution of materials, equipment and supplies and assist in maintaining this supply system.
• Supervise, as necessary, clerical data entry staff involved in transmitting all warehousing documentation to the corporate office.
• Coordinate all warehousing activities with management officials and representatives from the corporate office.
• Plan and supervise receipt, storage and distribution of supplies and equipment in large centralized warehousing operations.
• Develop and implement storage systems, policies and procedures to ensure maximum use and efficiency of space and storage areas in warehousing operations.
• Supervise maintenance of facilities, material handling, equipment, and inventory warehousing control systems, manual or automated.
• Compile and submit regular reports of damage, outdated stock or supplies, over and under shipments, return of goods to vendor, etc.
• Contact vendors to reconcile invoice discrepancies, shortages, over shipments or to arrange for emergency shipments or requisitions.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.
• Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Required:
• Associate’s degree.
• Three years experience in the receipt, storage or distribution of food and beverage supplies or equipment, including at least 2 years at the supervisory level in an entertainment or convention center venue.
• Ability to promote and participate in a team environment.
• Ability to understand written and oral direction and to communicate same with others.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Hours: Approximately 8 hours each Washington Redskins Home Game (Two Pre-Season and Eight Home Games). Attendance at all home games is required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be over 18.
  • Prior cash handling experience required
  • Ability to interact positively with large fan base
  • Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sales skills. A background in sales or marketing is strongly encouraged.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and use problem solving skills
  • Candidates must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays if necessary.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and walk long distances in parking lot and stadium complex. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • All candidates may be subject to background checks and drug testing

This position requires an outgoing personality and a passion for raising money for the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation.

Reports to: Donor Services Coordinator, Charitable Foundation
