Are you a friendly, high-energy person that can start a conversation with anyone?

The Washington Redskins are looking for enthusiastic individuals to sell 50/50 Raffle tickets to Redskins fans at home games at FedExField to benefit the Redskins Charitable Foundation.

This position requires an outgoing personality as sellers will be asked to approach fans attending the game to purchase 50/50 raffle tickets, all to help make a difference in the community.

This is a paid, part-time seasonal position. Cash bonus incentives are given to exceptional sellers each home game.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

¾  Approach fans to spread awareness of 50/50 raffle program and the Washington Redskins Charitable

Foundation

¾  Sell 50/50 raffle tickets to fans pre-game and/or in-game

¾  Handle large amounts of money and electronic transactions

¾  Accurately handle the sale and distribution of the tickets

¾  Problem solve and answer questions fans may have about the 50/50 raffle program

Qualifications:

¾  Above average verbal communication skills

¾  Strong sales skills

¾  Prior cash handling experience

¾  Ability to interact positively with fans

¾  Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions

¾  Must be able to walk up and down numerous steps and long distances in parking lot and FedExField.

¾  Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills

Requirements:

¾  Must be 18 years of age or older

¾  Ability to pass a background check, which all candidates are subject to by law

Client Services Internship (Fall 2016) - Washington Redskins (Landover, MD)

The Washington Redskins are seeking a qualified individual to join the Membership Services & Sales Department as a Client Services Intern. The right individual will be able to work as part of a team and individually. The ideal candidate will be able to receive college credit for a year-long internship experience; however, exceptional applicants only available for one semester internships will still be considered.

Learning Objectives:

 

·         Intern will develop fundamental skills necessary to work within the sports industry, particularly pertaining to the service of current and prospective season ticket members. This will be achieved through assisting with daily office activities such as mailings, data entry, research, fulfilling client incentives and gifts, as well as organization of client contracts.

·         Intern will make outbound calls to clients in order to obtain accurate account information, providing the intern with experience in professional phone etiquette and improvement of interpersonal communication skills.

·         Intern will learn basic HTML and e-communication strategies with the creation of monthly E-Newsletters and other marketing materials.

·         Intern will gain experience in event management by assisting with the execution of special events (such as private Chalk Talks and Flag Football Tournaments) for existing and prospective clients.

·         Intern will attain consumer research skills through pursuing new programs that will increase prospect base and client satisfaction.

·         Intern will update dedicated Premium Club Twitter and Facebook accounts with relevant information, providing the intern with experience in social media marketing, as well as the use of social media in a professional setting.

Learning Objectives:

 

·         Intern will develop fundamental skills necessary to work within the sports industry, particularly pertaining to ticket sales. This will be achieved through assisting with daily office activities such as mailings, data entry, updating lead lists, answering incoming calls, as well as organizing client contracts.

·         Intern will improve analyzation skills by seeking trends in sales and marketing campaigns, in addition to updating daily sales reports.

·         Intern with create proposals on fan and sponsor engagement. This will provide the intern with experience in consumer research, as well as in the proper construction and presentation of professional proposals.

·         Intern will learn e-marketing processes by supporting Marketing and CRM managers with the creation of ticketing email proofs, documenting email open rates, and organizing lead generation. 

·         Intern will gain experience in event management by assisting with the execution of special events (such as private Chalk Talks and Flag Football Tournaments) for existing and prospective clients.

The Washington Redskins are looking for enthusiastic, career-driven individuals to join the 50/50 Raffle gameday team at all Redskins home games during the 2016 Season. Ideal candidates will be either in their senior year of college or currently enrolled in a graduate level program and looking to advance their careers within the sports field.

This is a competitive position that allows interns to receive exclusive benefits such as one-on-one informational interviews with team executives in various departments and opportunities to assist with the planning and execution of exclusive events. Additionally, one lucky gameday intern has the chance to acquire a full-time Spring 2017 internship with the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation.*

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Donor Service Coordinator with new marketing initiatives to increase sales, including but not limited to: Social media, target marketing, in game promotions etc.
  • Help to create and implement new 50/50 Raffle sales strategies throughout the stadium
  • Problem solve and answer questions about the 50/50 Raffle from fans, staff and sellers
  • Assist Coordinator and Director of Special Events to manage more than 30 part-time staff including helping to coordinate setup, checkout, troubleshooting, sales, ticket distribution, etc.
  • Assume all other duties and responsibilities as assigned during the 50/50 Raffle

Hours: Approximately 8-10 hours each Washington Redskins Home Game.

Qualifications: 

  • Must be over 18
  • Must receive college credit in order to qualify for this internship – Proof of credit letter from your College or University is required
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Candidates must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays if necessary
