The Washington Redskins are seeking a qualified individual to work in our "state of the art" kitchen and join our kitchen staff as a Breakfast Line Cook.  The Line Cook is a kitchen staff position that focuses on making great food items.

The Line Cook is expected to:

  • Have a positive, professional and team oriented attitude
  • Follow all safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
  • Maintain a clean work area at all times
  • Anticipate guest levels rising or falling and maintain dining room appearance
  • Complete routine cleaning assignments
  • Safely and properly handle all kitchen equipment and small wares
  • Keep involved in the back of the house and check and recheck station and counters for cleanliness
  • Plan ahead and be organized
  • Two years of experience

Day to day job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Check for quality of product and freshness.  Alert the Executive Chef to anything that does not seem "First Class"
  • Set up breakfast, lunch and dinner line station and maintain appearance and quality of food product on line so only "First Class" dishes are served
  • Work along side the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in preparing dishes for each meal service
  • Follow through on daily prep and/or production list that are given for the day and double check any items that may be below or not up to given standards
  • Keep up on all cleaning and preventative maintenance list and follow up with Executive Chef if something appears out of ordinary
  • Work along side Executive and Sous Chef in maintaining storage and walk ins so the product is put away and rotated following FIFO standard
  • Ensure that anything produced from a production sheet is labeled and put in appropriate place
  • Make sure that any item that is prepared in the kitchen is prepared in accordance with given food safety standards and follow only the highest standards
  • Keep station organized for speed of service and place prep items to be used in cold reach ins
  • Keep all storage areas organized and up to date following a FIFO standard and basic food service handling
  • Maintain uniform standards and follow scheduled in times

Overview:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Producing regular (daily, weekly and monthly) and ad-hoc reports of digital traffic, user engagement and content production for various products and platforms
  • Track real-time analytics on Redskins.com and affiliated websites and make recommendations on ways to amplify site content
  • Gather requirements and KPI goals from stakeholders of various departments to produce reports and adjust reporting formats to best communicate data points
  • Pulling raw data from a multitude of analytics platforms and creating presentable reports in Excel, PowerPoint and PDF formats
  • Package and communicate analytical findings and develop presentations as needed
  • Perform online campaign reporting and conversion analyses, interpret results and develop recommendations for both clients and internal departments
  • Develop analytics tracking strategy and implementation documentation for clients and internal departments

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work fast under pressure of deadlines and to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation-Summer Programs Intern - Washington Redskins (Ashburn, VA)

The Washington Redskins are seeking qualified individuals to join the Community Relations/Charitable Foundation Department as an Intern. The right individual will be able to work as part of a team or individually. The ideal candidate will be able to receive college credit for a semester-long internship experience.  This is a full time internship (40 hours a week).

Overview of Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation and Community Relations Department
Founded in 2000 by Daniel M. Snyder, the mission of the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation is to utilize the assets of the NFL franchise and its corporate and community partners to make a positive and measurable impact on youth development in the greater Washington, DC region in the areas of education, community outreach, and health and wellness. The mission of the Washington Redskins Community Relations Department is to be responsive to the needs of the community while also making a positive and significant impact through community programs, events, and the support of area nonprofits.

Internship Responsibilities
Assisting in the coordination and implementation of Charitable Foundation and Community Relations Department programs and events including, but not limited to:

  • Assist with the planning and execution of weekly, monthly and annual Charitable Foundation and Community Relations programs
  • Program tracking
  • Write articles for team publications
  • Fan Mail
  • Research and communication with local schools and non-profit organizations
  • Other duties as assigned

Intern Candidate Requirements:

  • Full-time undergraduate/graduate student
  • Candidate MUST receive college credit in order to qualify for this internship – proof of credit letter from your College or University is required
  • Polite, positive, self-starter who works well with others
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Strong writing skills – a 1 to 3 page writing sample will be required

Training Camp Interns must be able to work extended hours including some nights and weekends in the Richmond, VA area.  A background in community relations or event management is strongly encouraged.  Candidates must possess strong interpersonal skillsand have experience with children.  The ideal candidate will be able to receive college credit for a semester-long internship experience.  This is a full time internship (40 hours a week).

  • Research and communication with local schools and non-profit organizations
  • Other duties as assigned
