Client Services Manager - Washington Redskins (Ashburn, VA)

The Washington Redskins are in need of a Client Services Manager to join the Marketing Department. The selected individual will have a professional demeanor, with the ability to communicate clearly to executives at all levels (both internally and externally). He/she will be detail oriented and able to juggle various tasks and meet demanding deadlines. The ability to work independently by taking initiative, recommending solutions and making informed decisions is a must. The Client Service Manager will report to the Director of Strategic Marketing & Client Services.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Execute all elements of national sponsorship contracts, including TV and radio media, digital assets, print advertising, stadium signage, special events, hospitality and in-game promotions.
  • Facilitate the production and placement of all inventories after it is sold in coordination with ad agencies, media properties, broadcasters, publishers and promotional vendors.
  • Assist in the detailed coordination of multiple high-profile events and game day experiences.
  • Develop and activate co-branded sponsorship platforms.
  • Other duties as assigned or needed.

A College degree and three years’ work experience in Sports-related marketing, events, and/or media is required. Graduate degree and/or experience with professional sports are desired. Marketing agency experience also a plus.

Game Day Event Staff - Washington Redskins (Landover, MD)

The Washington Redskins are seeking responsible individuals to join our Game Day Event Staff on a Part Time basis. The right fit individuals will provide general customer service (ticket takers, ushers, escalator/ elevator operators) and security throughout FedEx Field Stadium during Redskins Game Day and Special Events.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Work ALL 2014  Redskins Home Games and Major Events
  • Provide guests with quality customer service to enhance their game day experience
  • Enforce FedEx Field, Redskins, and NFL rules, regulations and policies
  • Identify problems when/before they occur and quickly contact the best representative to rectify the situation (Cleaning, Security, Managers Etc…)
  • Receive and quickly act upon requests or complaints from guests.  In the event of a serious problem, rapidly defer to upper management
  • Provide immediate assistance to and emergency notification of guests in the event of an accident or injury
  • In the event of an emergency, assist in evacuating FedEx Field, while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor

The Washington Redskins are seeking a creative and qualified intern to support the Washington Redskins Art Director by assisting in the design, development and production of creative projects and services, with the primary focus as a graphic designer.  This is an unpaid position and the ideal candidate will be able to earn college credits.

The right individual must take great pride in their work and pay strong attention to detail. Applicant must have strong understanding of graphic design tools and standards along with a strong sense of design style. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, while keeping organized and maintaining the highest standard of design quality in all work. A Graphic Design intern at the Washington Redskins responsibilities include the following:

  • Design and layout a wide variety of print materials, such as newspaper and gameday magazine advertisements, flyers, brochures, posters, postcards, direct mail pieces and invitations
  • Design and illustrate graphic materials including logos, signage and website images
  • Assist with photo editing and manipulation of graphics for sponsor mockups and marketing presentations
  • Preparing files for proofs, print and final outputs
  • File management and archiving and documentation of all sponsored and web initiatives for annual recaps
  • Assist with preparation of projects including finding useable photos, scanning and photography
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Experience with video editing with iMovie or similar
  • Ability to work on both Mac and Windows platforms
  • Excellent design skills and creativity
  • Knowledge of production for collateral including resolution, sizes and file types, as well as scanning, pre-press and print production

Overview: Work with the VP, Premium Ticket Sales, Chief Strategy Officer, Interactive Marketing department, Creative Services department and others to manage day-to-day procedures associated with the direct marketing activities of the Washington Redskins Premium Club. This includes, but is not limited to, content management and development and/or improvement of processes.

Primary responsibilities include working with premium sales and marketing departments in executing revenue-generating campaigns, implementing and managing lead generation programs to drive database growth, and analyzing and reporting on sales and marketing campaigns. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for growing and developing the current MS Dynamics CRM platform including object development, system integration and user adoption.

WORK PRODUCT:

  • Develop direct marketing discipline within the broader Marketing department and make direct and CRM marketing a core competency
  • Define best practices and educate key team members accordingly
  • Train existing team members on direct & CRM marketing practices, evaluate skills, determine plan to address any gaps

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts to constantly improve CRM system usability and adoption.
  • Work with members of the premium sales and marketing teams to develop and support processes that increase efficiency.
  • Integrate data from multiple entities and systems and maintain organization, standardization and accuracy of data.
  • Perform record and object updates to maintain system integrity and usability.
  • Test, measure and track all campaigns and report outcomes to relevant parties.
  • Recommend and implement innovative ways to improve sales and marketing processes within and across departments.
  • Develop and manage dashboards and reports designed to drive productivity and sales insights.
  • Utilize customer information to identify customer trends and profiles and develop recommendations for
  • actionable business strategies.
  • Establish and execute ongoing system administration, technical maintenance protocols, and

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus relevant background required
  • Three to Five (3-5) or more years of professional experience with two (2) years of experience working with CRM and marketing automation programs.
  • Experience with MS Dynamics CRM and/or Kore is a plus.
  • Experience working in sports /entertainment industry in ticket sales and/or marketing is a plus
  • Prior marketing consulting experience is a plus
  • Must have extensive experience using E-mail marketing software for E-mail campaigns
  • Must have excellent project management skills, including strong understanding of project management methodologies/approaches
  • Must have excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications particularly, Excel and Access. SQL experience a plus. Understanding of or experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
  • Strong understand of customer relationship management principles and best practices
  • Must demonstrate an entrepreneurial attitude coupled with the ability to implement programs with a high attention to detail
  • Experience working with direct marketing programs targeted to large groups with distinct segments

The Washington Redskins are seeking an enthusiastic and creative individual to assist the Marketing Department as an intern for Fall 2014. The intern will assist in the development, implementation and coordination of numerous strategic marketing initiatives, with a strong focus in the Redskins Kids Club, Redskins Women’s platform, gameday initiatives, and Think Pink and Military Appreciation campaigns.   • Event Planning for numerous Redskins events each month ranging from 50-300 guests; includes working with Redskins operations, catering, vendors, team sponsors and overall event execution.  Major in-season events include but are not limited to pre-game parties, leadership panels, a three-part Football 101 event series, Breast Cancer Awareness events, fitness events, chalk talks, volunteer opportunities, and more
  • Manage social media content and sweepstakes for various Redskins digital platforms

  • Educate fans on the details of the game day raffle program and answer questions fans may have about the program.
  • Accurately handle the sale and distribution of the tickets, following program requirements.
  • Responsible for accurate cash count - submitted to Coordinator at the close of the shift.
  • Understand the mission of the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation.
  • Hours:  Approximately 4 hours each Washington Redskins Home Game (Two Pre-Season and Eight Home Games).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience and responsibility of handling cash.
  • Ability to interact positively with large fan base.
  • Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills.
  • Strong sales skills and verbal communication skills.
  • Candidate must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays if necessary.
  • Having a flexible schedule that allows for working all games is a must.
  • All candidates may be subject to background checks and drug testing.

Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation-Programs Intern - Washington Redskins (Ashburn, VA)

The Washington Redskins are seeking qualified individuals to join the Community Relations/Charitable Foundation Department as an Intern. The right individual will be able to work as part of a team or individually. The ideal candidate will be able to receive college credit for a year-long internship experience; however, exceptional applicants only available for one semester internships will still be considered.

Overview of Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation and Community Relations Department
Founded in 2000 by Daniel M. Snyder, the mission of the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation is to utilize the assets of the NFL franchise and its corporate and community partners to make a positive and measurable impact on youth development in the greater Washington, DC region in the areas of education, community outreach, and health and wellness. The mission of the Washington Redskins Community Relations Department is to be responsive to the needs of the community while also making a positive and significant impact through community programs, events, and the support of area nonprofits.

Internship Responsibilities
Assisting in the coordination and implementation of Charitable Foundation and Community Relations Department programs and events including, but not limited to:

  • Coach of the Week/Coach of the Year
  • Program tracking
  • Write articles for team publications
  • Donations
  • Fan Mail
  • Assist with the planning and execution of weekly, monthly and annual Charitable Foundation and Community Relations programs
  • Other duties as assigned

Intern Candidate Requirements:

  • Full-time undergraduate/graduate student
  • Candidate MUST receive college credit in order to qualify for this internship – proof of credit letter from your College or University is required
  • Polite, positive, self-starter who works well with others
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Strong writing skills – a 1 to 3 page writing sample will be required
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Can work independently when given a task and have the focus to follow through & follow-up if problems arise
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite proficient)
  • Proactive in asking questions when needed
  • Team player, humble enough to handle a variety of tasks; no job beneath them
  • Ability to handle physical requirements of job including setting up equipment for events and other light to medium lifting
  • Ability to interact with players, staff, and the community in a professional manner
  • Proven experience to appropriately work with and around confidential information is necessary
