The Washington Redskins seek a highly organized and experienced professional with strong corporate knowledge and relationships in the Washington Region to join the Suite Sales Team.  Candidate will develop new leads for Suite Sales.  Additionally, this person will be responsible for selling single game corporate memberships which include executive tickets.  This position will primarily work out of Redskins Park located in Ashburn, VA, but the selected candidate must also be able to commute to FedExField Stadium in Landover, MD and attend any number of networking or association events at any given time.

Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Sell corporate suites, single game hospitality packages, Touchdown Club memberships, and higher end club seating
  • Attend various regional business functions to gain leads and assist in networking on behalf of existing clients
  • Manufacturing corporate prospects in conjunction with Manager of Business Development
  • Making targeted calls, writing specific letters and e-mails to build sales pipeline
  • Booking prospect meetings

Requirements:

  • College degree
  • Experience selling premium products/services to high net worth individuals and/or large corporations
  • Must be able to attend networking functions on evenings and weekends
  • Minimum two years sales/service experience preferably in the sports industry
  • Previous ticket sales experience in Suite or premium seats preferred

  • Set up breakfast, lunch and dinner line station and maintain appearance and quality of food product on line so only "First Class" dishes are served
  • Work alongside the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in preparing dishes for each meal service
  • Follow through on daily prep and/or production list that are given for the day and double check any items that may be below or not up to given standards
  • Keep up on all cleaning and preventative maintenance list and follow up with Executive Chef if something appears out of ordinary
  • Work alongside Executive and Sous Chef in maintaining storage and walk ins so the product is put away and rotated following FIFO standard
  • Ensure that anything produced from a production sheet is labeled and put in appropriate place
  • Make sure that any item that is prepared in the kitchen is prepared in accordance with given food safety standards and follow only the highest standards
  • Keep station organized for speed of service and place prep items to be used in cold reach ins
  • Keep all storage areas organized and up to date following a FIFO standard and basic food service handling
  • Maintain uniform standards and follow scheduled in times

The Washington Redskins are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to serve as a photography intern for the 2015 season.

The right individual must take great pride in their work and pay strong attention to detail. Applicant must have a strong knowledge of quality photography, must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and keep organized while maintaining a high standard in all work. Job Responsibilities:

  • Shooting photos at select Redskins practices and all home games (primarily game action photos), as well as “behind-the-scenes” opportunities around the team facility and at the stadium. All photos will need to be edited as needed through the use of Adobe Creative Cloud software or other similar programs.
  • Helping the team photographer with all photo shoot requests, including equipment needs and set up (lighting/backdrops/scenery, etc.) and assisting with all team headshots and portraits as needed.
  • Assisting with the management of team’s photo archive, including the sorting of all shots into the digital photo drive, as well as the scanning and cataloging of historical photos.
  • Working hand-in-hand with the public relations, digital media and marketing departments to fulfill any needs before, during and after games. These can include — but are not limited to — presentations, signage, activations and shots of facilities.
  • Shooting photos at special events for other departments and team events, including – but not limited to – the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation (WRCF), Women of Washington Redskins (WOW!), Redskins Salute, Redskins Kids Club and the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders.
  • Working with the team’s digital media staff on all social media opportunities, including shots for platforms that include — but are not limited to — Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Google+ and Pinterest.
  • Utilizing the TeamSite content management system (CMS) to create photo galleries for all team events that will be published on Redskins.com.
  • Assisting with other duties as necessary.

 DUTIES

  • Will be responsible for obtaining information from various departments and inputting the information into the computer software data base
  • This position will learn the functions of other departments and log incidents as they occur during an event properly and accordingly
  • The position will also be responsible for answering the Gameday Hotline for guests and providing information such as directions to the stadium, locations of hospitality and other information as described in the employee handbook
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma and/or prior dispatch or stadium operations experience a plus
  • Must have excellent data entry (80 WPM preferred) and reporting skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacy, work well with others; establishing and maintaining effective relationships with fellow employees and supervisors
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • Works well under pressure, remaining calm yet tactful when required

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily content and fan engagement on various Redskins social media sites, including: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, YouTube, Vine, Pinterest, and Reddit
  • Manage and monitor spam and commenting modules on social sites, as well as initiate fan discussion and engage with fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
  • Conceptualize and research creative ways to improve the Redskins social media platforms and integration on Redskins.com and other team microsites
  • Assist in the dissemination of Redskins breaking news and team updates across all social channels, including SMS and mobile platforms
  • Assist with the management of sponsored tabs, contests and promotions, including providing analytic reports and archiving database records
  • Help to identify Redskins fan groups, contribute content to Redskins Rally and participate through various social media platforms

Strategic Marketing Intern-FALL 2015 - Washington Redskins (Ashburn, VA)

The Washington Redskins are seeking an enthusiastic and creative individual to assist the Marketing Department as an intern for Fall 2015. The intern will assist in the strategic planning, implementation and coordination of two marketing initiatives, the Redskins Women’s Club (WOW) and Redskins Kids Club fan platforms. This role will also have a strong focus on the planning and execution of fan activities on game days at FedExField.  The individual will have the opportunity to learn about the responsibilities of a National Football League Marketing Department by working as a member of the team and assisting in its day-to-day operations.

It is preferable that the intern is able to start on or around August 18, 2015.  Candidate MUST be able to work at least 25 hours a week.  Opportunity to stay on-board through Spring 2015 also available.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Aid in overall strategic planning for year-round initiatives listed above
  • Monthly event planning for WOW and Kids Club events ranging from 100-300 guests; includes working with Redskins operations, catering, vendors, team sponsors and overall event execution.  Will also be instrumental in planning 2015 season initiatives and outreach including pregame parties
  • Content creation and management: responsible for all blog and social media content on WOW sites as well as reaching out to local female influencers for content
  • Database through management of email inboxes, Facebook messaging and mailings

Washington Redskins Game Day 50/50 Raffle Ticket Seller - Washington Redskins (Landover, MD)

Are you a friendly, high-energy sports fan looking to make a difference in your community?  The Washington Redskins are seeking enthusiastic individuals to play a crucial role within the organization's gameday structure as 50/50 raffle ticket sellers.  During each home game, 50/50 raffle tickets are sold to fans at FedExField with the proceeds benefiting the Redskins Charitable Foundation as well as local non-profits championing breast cancer awareness, pediatric cancer and more.

This position requires an outgoing personality as sellers will be asked to approach fans attending the game in the tailgating area, on the main concourse, and in the stands.  This job is perfect for those wishing to give back to their community, looking to find out how non-profits function or what working for a professional sports organization is like.

This is a paid part-time seasonal position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage pre-game set up for designated raffle kiosk
  • Comfortably handle large cash transactions, and the sale and distribution of 50/50 raffle tickets throughout your work shift
  • Work to engage fans and spread awareness of 50/50 raffle program and the Redskins Charitable Foundation by approaching fans
  • Problem solve quickly and efficiently. Answer questions fans may have about the 50/50 raffle program
  • Responsible for meeting and/or exceeding designated sales goals per game
