The Washington Redskins are seeking qualified individuals to join the Community Relations/Charitable Foundation Department as game day interns. The right individual will be able to work as part of a team. Game Day Interns must be able to work extended hours including some nights and weekends at FedExField in Landover, Maryland at all 2013 home games. A background in community relations or event management is strongly encouraged. Candidates must possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Overview of Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation and Community Relations Department
Founded in 2000 by Daniel M. Snyder, the mission of the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation is to utilize the assets of the NFL franchise and its corporate and community partners to make a positive and measurable impact on youth development in the greater Washington, DC region in the areas of education, community outreach, and health and wellness. The mission of the Washington Redskins Community Relations Department is to be responsive to the needs of the community while also making a positive and significant impact through community programs, events, and the support of area nonprofits.
Game Day Staff Responsibilities (All 2013 Home Redskins Games)
- Assist with ALL preseason, regular season and postseason home games.
- Assist with Community relations and Charitable Foundation events and sponsorship activations, which include but are not limited to
- o 50/50 Raffle Sales
o Stadium Collections- books, toys, school supplies, etc.
o Coordinate WRCF Chopper Logistics
- Other duties as assigned
Game Day Staff Requirements:
- Must attend ALL preseason, regular season and postseason home games.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Can work independently when given a task and have the focus to follow through & follow-up if problems arise.
- Team player humble enough to handle a variety of tasks; no job beneath them.
- Ability to interact with players, staff and the community in a professional manner.
- Proven experience to appropriately work with and around confidential information is necessary.
- Proactive in asking questions when needed

OVERVIEW
The Washington Redskins uphold the highest level of Best Practices set by the National Football League concerning Security, Fan Behavior and Guest Services. We are looking for an experienced software engineer to design develop and maintain software applications for our Football Operations Department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Application Development
Responsible for meeting with key team members to gather requirements and deliver fully functional applications.
Database Administration/Development
Responsible for managing and administrating a SQL Server database server including all day-to-day and annual maintenance. Retrieve and store data. Manage reporting, and work with external heterogeneous.
Football Systems Architect
Must have the ability to architect a system that takes each application built (especially including all database components) and create a strong vision for how the end system will integrate information for each of these applications. Senior Application Developer will be able to foresee possible pitfalls as well as opportunities for each piece of information gathered.
Professional Requirements:
- Computer Science or related undergraduate degree
- At least five years of experience in application design and development
- Strong programming background using .NET/C#
- Ability to demonstrate examples of previous roles in application’s development
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and familiarity with stored procedures, views, and functions.
- Fully familiar with the software development life cycle, and ability to describe past contributions relating to each phase (i.e. gathering requirements, design and prototyping, testing, final implementation, and maintenance and support)

Senior Manager/Director, Direct Marketing & Customer Relationship (CRM) - Washington Redskins (Landover, MD)
Overview: Work with the VP, Premium Ticket Sales, Chief Strategy Officer, Interactive Marketing department, Creative Services department and others to manage day-to-day procedures associated with the direct marketing activities of the Washington Redskins Premium Club. This includes, but is not limited to, content management and development and/or improvement of processes.
Primary responsibilities include working with premium sales and marketing departments in executing revenue-generating campaigns, implementing and managing lead generation programs to drive database growth, and analyzing and reporting on sales and marketing campaigns. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for growing and developing the current MS Dynamics CRM platform including object development, system integration and user adoption.
WORK PRODUCT:
- Develop direct marketing discipline within the broader Marketing department and make direct and CRM marketing a core competency
- Define best practices and educate key team members accordingly
- Train existing team members on direct & CRM marketing practices, evaluate skills, determine plan to address any gaps
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts to constantly improve CRM system usability and adoption.
- Work with members of the premium sales and marketing teams to develop and support processes that increase efficiency.
- Integrate data from multiple entities and systems and maintain organization, standardization and accuracy of data.
- Perform record and object updates to maintain system integrity and usability.
- Test, measure and track all campaigns and report outcomes to relevant parties.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree plus relevant background required
- Three to Five (3-5) or more years of professional experience with two (2) years of experience working with CRM and marketing automation programs.
- Experience with MS Dynamics CRM and/or Kore is a plus.
- Experience working in sports /entertainment industry in ticket sales and/or marketing is a plus
- Prior marketing consulting experience is a plus
- Must have extensive experience using E-mail marketing software for E-mail campaigns
- Must have excellent project management skills, including strong understanding of project management methodologies/approaches
- Must have excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications particularly, Excel and Access. SQL experience a plus. Understanding of or experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Strong understand of customer relationship management principles and best practices
- Must demonstrate an entrepreneurial attitude coupled with the ability to implement programs with a high attention to detail
- Experience working with direct marketing programs targeted to large groups with distinct segments
