The Washington Redskins are seeking responsible individuals to join our Game Day Event Staff on a Part Time basis. The right fit individuals will provide general customer service (ticket takers, ushers, escalator/ elevator operators) and security throughout FedExField Stadium during Redskins Game Day and Special Events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Work ALL 2015  Redskins Home Games and Major Events
  • Provide guests with quality customer service to enhance their game day experience
  • Enforce FedExField, Redskins, and NFL rules, regulations and policies
  • Identify problems when/before they occur and quickly contact the best representative to rectify the situation (Cleaning, Security, Managers Etc…)
  • Receive and quickly act upon requests or complaints from guests.  In the event of a serious problem, rapidly defer to upper management
  • Provide immediate assistance to and emergency notification of guests in the event of an accident or injury
  • In the event of an emergency, assist in evacuating FedExField, while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor

Requirements: 

  • Must commit to work all Redskins Home Games, Soccer Game (7/28) and potential playoff games
  • Must be 18 and over
  • Maintain a professional appearance
  • Ability to be friendly and courteous, regardless of the situation

The Junior Sous Chef is expected to:

  • Check for quality of product and freshness.  Alert the Executive Chef to anything that does not seem "First Class"
  • Set up breakfast, lunch and dinner line station and maintain appearance and quality of food product on line so only "First Class" dishes are served
  • Work alongside the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in preparing dishes for each meal service
  • Follow through on daily prep and/or production list that are given for the day and double check any items that may be below or not up to given standards
  • Keep up on all cleaning and preventative maintenance list and follow up with Executive Chef if something appears out of ordinary
  • Work alongside Executive and Sous Chef in maintaining storage and walk ins so the product is put away and rotated following FIFO standard
  • Ensure that anything produced from a production sheet is labeled and put in appropriate place
  • Make sure that any item that is prepared in the kitchen is prepared in accordance with given food safety standards and follow only the highest standards
  • Keep station organized for speed of service and place prep items to be used in cold reach ins
  • Keep all storage areas organized and up to date following a FIFO standard and basic food service handling
  • Maintain uniform standards and follow scheduled in times

Redskins Public Relations Gameday Staff Summary:
The Washington Redskins Communications Department offers public relations game day intern positions. The intern will have the opportunity to learn about the responsibilities of a National Football League public relations staff while working as a member of the department and assisting in its gameday functions in the press box at FedExField. 

A background in public/media relations or sport management is strongly encouraged. Candidates must possess strong written and oral communication skills.  All interns must be eligible to receive college credit.

Gameday Staff Responsibilities (All 2015 Home Redskins Games)

  • Assist with ALL preseason, regular season and postseason home games.
  • Facilitate various requests by media members for information, statistics, etc.
  • Assist in distribution of credentials and statistics.
  • Assist in transcribing and distribution of post-game press conferences and quotes.
  • Monitor player interviews.
  • Maintain the press box at FedExField, keeping it fully stocked with updated team information.
  • Prepare press box for game day.
  • Research statistical information for management, coaches, scouts and internal department as needed.

Gameday Staff Requirements:

  • Must attend ALL preseason, regular season and postseason home games.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.

OVERVIEW
The Washington Redskins uphold the highest level of Best Practices set by the National Football League concerning Security, Fan Behavior and Guest Services. This Base Operator position is directly responsible for any person that enters stadium property from the time they arrive to the time they leave. We are The Most Fan Friendly Stadium in the World.

 DUTIES

  • Will be responsible for obtaining information from various departments and inputting the information into the computer software data base
  • This position will learn the functions of other departments and log incidents as they occur during an event properly and accordingly
  • The position will also be responsible for answering the Gameday Hotline for guests and providing information such as directions to the stadium, locations of hospitality and other information as described in the employee handbook
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma and/or prior dispatch or stadium operations experience a plus
  • Must have excellent data entry (80 WPM preferred) and reporting skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time

Team Photographer - Washington Redskins (Ashburn, VA)

The Washington Redskins are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to serve as the team’s full-time Team Photographer. This individual will primarily be working hand-in-hand with the public relations and digital media departments to shoot quality photos as well as provide and coordinate duties such as photo editing, cataloging and archiving, setting up and executing photo shoots and overseeing a staff of freelancers and photo interns, while also providing support for the club’s other departments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Shooting photos at all home and away games (primarily game action photos) and select practices and workouts, as well as shots of team travel and “behind-the-scenes” around the team facility and at every stadium. The Team Photographer will also need to arrange for a photographer to be present at a variety of other team-related and high-profile events as needed. All photos will also need to be edited as needed through the use of Adobe Creative Cloud software or other similar programs.
  • Coordinating with the team’s digital and public relations staffs on all photo shoot requests, including equipment needs and set up (lighting/backdrops/scenery, etc.) and shooting all team headshots and portraits as needed.
  • Managing the team’s photo archive, including the sorting of all shots into the digital photo drive, as well as the scanning and cataloging of historical photos. The Director of Photography would also work with the public relations and digital media staffs on any outside photo requests.
  • Overseeing a staff of freelance and intern photographers who are available for all team-related events, working hand-in-hand with the public relations, digital media and marketing departments to fulfill any needs before, during and after games. These can include — but are not limited to — presentations, signage, activations and shots of facilities.
  • Shooting photos at special events for other departments and team events, including – but not limited to – the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation (WRCF), Women of Washington Redskins (WOW!), Redskins Salute, Redskins Kids Club and the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders.
  • Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders’ annual calendar photo shoot.
  • Working with the team’s digital media staff on all social media opportunities, including shots for platforms that include — but are not limited to — Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Google+ and Pinterest.
  • Utilizing the TeamSite content management system (CMS) to create photo galleries for all team events that will be published on Redskins.com.
  • Overseeing a budget for all freelancers and various equipment needs.
  • Assisting with other duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of relevant work experience preferred
  • Advanced skills in Adobe software, particularly Photoshop, Lightroom and Bridge
  • Knowledge of Redskins team history preferred
  • Qualified candidates must possess superior organizational skills and be able to function in a fast-paced setting with several tasks at hand
  • Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office and Outlook

Are you a friendly, high-energy sports fan looking to make a difference in your community?  The Washington Redskins are seeking enthusiastic individuals to play a crucial role within the organization's gameday structure as 50/50 raffle ticket sellers.  During each home game, 50/50 raffle tickets are sold to fans at FedExField with the proceeds benefiting the Redskins Charitable Foundation as well as local non-profits championing breast cancer awareness, pediatric cancer and more.

This position requires an outgoing personality as sellers will be asked to approach fans attending the game in the tailgating area, on the main concourse, and in the stands.  This job is perfect for those wishing to give back to their community, looking to find out how non-profits function or what working for a professional sports organization is like.

This is a paid part-time seasonal position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage pre-game set up for designated raffle kiosk
  • Comfortably handle large cash transactions, and the sale and distribution of 50/50 raffle tickets throughout your work shift
  • Work to engage fans and spread awareness of 50/50 raffle program and the Redskins Charitable Foundation by approaching fans
  • Problem solve quickly and efficiently. Answer questions fans may have about the 50/50 raffle program
  • Responsible for meeting and/or exceeding designated sales goals per game
