Description: The St. Louis Rams are seeking a creative and qualified intern to support the Rams Marketing Department by assisting in the design, development and production of creative projects and services. The St. Louis Rams Design & Development Intern will be responsible for creative undertakings by the club across a variety of advertising media including web, print, promotional items and additional creative initiatives. The intern will service the Marketing department with any creative or design needs, from initial concepts to final production, execution and/or distribution. The intern will also assist the Digital Managing Producer with development projects that may include but are not limited to HTML email builds, CMS management, and custom build projects.

The intern will be responsible for assisting and upholding the visual integrity of the club as perceived by the market, and for strengthening brand presence within the market. He or she must demonstrate the ability to supply creative solutions on a daily basis to a variety of requested projects while remaining organized and on task.

Applicant must have strong understanding of HTML/CSS, development tools, graphic design tools, and standards along with a strong sense of design style. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, while keeping organized and maintaining the highest standard of design quality in all work.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with team Digital Managing Producer to manage HTML email campaign, website maintenance, and custom page builds
  • Design and layout a wide variety of print materials, such as flyers, brochures, posters, postcards, direct mail pieces and invitations
  • Work with team Graphic Designer to design and illustrate graphic materials including logos, signage and website images
  • Assist with photo editing and manipulation of graphics for sponsor mockups and marketing presentations
  • Review other industry and team web sites to obtain new ideas
  • Work closely with all internal stakeholders including Corporate Communications/Civic Affairs, Public Relations, Ticketing and Sponsorship Departments
  • Attend and contribute to weekly departmental meetings
  • Assume any other duties deemed necessary, assigned by members of the Marketing staff 

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, digital best practices, and advanced design skills
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Familiarity with reviewing and analyzing web traffic analysis reports (e.g. Omniture, Google Analytics)
  • Ability to work on both Mac and Windows platforms
  • Excellent design skills and creativity
  • Basic familiarity with video file formats
  • Standard knowledge of form builder solutions and integration with larger events and campaigns
  • Knowledge of production for collateral including resolution, sizes and file types, as well as scanning, pre-press and print production
  • Understanding of photography and an eye for photos that will convey necessary messages for design goals
  • Highly organized, motivated and able to prioritize and multi-task under the pressure of deadlines
  • Ability to take design direction
  • Excellent grammatical, spelling, proofreading abilities are preferred

Requirements:

  • Completed course work in the field of Computer Science, Graphic Design, Advertising, or a related field
  • Must provide own means of transportation to Rams Park in Earth City, Missouri
  • Interested applicants must be willing and able to work non-traditional hours in non-traditional settings during peak times of the year

Anticipated start date:  June 1, 2015
End date:  February 26, 2016

Hours: M-F, 8:30am – 5:30pm, including some nights and weekends (flexible depending on availability)

Multimedia Reporter - St. Louis Rams (Earth City, MO)

Summary: The Multimedia Reporter will act as the team reporter, showcasing the personalities behind our brand, including players, coaches, front office, alumni, and others through written, video and video platforms.

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Write and produce video and written helmet-off features
  • Weekly “One-on-One” player interviews (post-practice/post-game)
  • Host “RamsNation” 20 week magazine program?
  • In-game host for all 10 home games
  • Generating content for and appearing on ESPN Radio
  • Emcee for team Marketing events
  • Work alongside Broadcasting, Community, Sponsorship, PR, and Marketing on content integration

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism, Video Production, Communications, or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of assisting/coordinating, associate work, producing in the broadcast field is required
  • On-camera television and on-air radio experience
  • Familiarity with sports and/or entertainment media
  • Previous experience creating web and mobile-specific written and video content preferred
  • Mac computer knowledge preferred including Microsoft Office
  • Video editing experience preferred including Adobe Premiere

Rams Camps Summer Assistant - St. Louis Rams (Earth City, MO)

General Description: The St. Louis Rams are seeking highly motivated candidates to support the 2015 Summer Rams Camps program, which includes Fundamentals Clinics, Specialty Clinics, Coaching Clinics, 7on7 Tournaments and assisting Rams Alumni Player Youth Football Camps.  Rams Camps are held at various locations throughout the St. Louis bi-state region as well as Rams Park & the Rams Training Academy.  The Rams Camps Summer Assistant will be responsible for assisting the program in various ways including camp promotion and sales, registration customer service, onsite logistics/operations and follow up.  The Rams Camps Assistant will work closely with the Rams Football Operations, Sales, and Digital Media & Marketing departments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promote and communicate details of the St. Louis Rams Camps to youth & high school football leagues, coaches, administrators and parents.
  • Oversee entire camp registration process through the Rams official team web site.
  • Provide customer service to camp participants and parents/guardians by answering incoming calls professionally, finding solutions whenever possible and providing feedback in a timely manner.
  • Travel to specific camp markets on a regular basis to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders for making camps successful.
  • Work closely across the Rams organization in an effort to include all necessary aspects of the organization in the Rams Camps.
  • Assist in extending the Rams reach into new markets via the external football affairs platform.

Youth Programs and Operations Summer Staff Assistant - Miami Dolphins (Miami Gardens, FL)

SUMMARY:
The Youth Programs Staff Assistant  will be responsible for helping with community events and summer camps.  They will also assist our team operations with the execution of training camp.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Help execute operations of the Miami Dolphins High School 7 on 7 Tournament. This annual event includes field set up and break down, crowd control, and supporting staff with registration and logistics.

Assist with operations of the Miami Dolphins youth football camps. The camps require manual labor with set-up and breakdown, ensuring the safety of campers, and back up support of our Youth Programs coordinator with administrative duties.  

Supports the Miami Dolphins operations team at Training Camp and The Gatorade Junior Training Camp with field set up and break down.

Assists the Miami Dolphins with administrative tasks that are assigned by the Youth Programs Manager.

Conveys and maintains a high level of professionalism at all times while providing extraordinary external and internal customer service to all patrons. 


ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

•           Current 4-Year College Student

•           Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

•           Commitment to drive results in a fast-paced environment

•           Bilingual (Spanish/English a plus)

•           Microsoft Office Suite computer skills, basic internet knowledge
