Sales & Marketing: Corporate Sponsorship Sales
CORPORATE SALES EXECUTIVE - Green Bay Packers, Inc. (Green Bay, WI)

Classification: Exempt; Salaried

Level: Level 1; Full-time

Reports to: Manager of Corporate Sales

Supervises: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective:

This position is responsible for generating revenue through the sale of sponsorships based upon our various business lines, including television, radio, digital, signage, print, special events, promotions, and various other programs.  

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for closing new business and renewing existing sponsorships to achieve team and individual revenue goals.

  2. Conduct cold calls to sell to new prospects among regional, national and international companies.

  3. Develop comprehensive proposals for current or new business prospects; design proposals incorporating research of category dynamics and understanding the prospective partner’s marketing goals.

  4. Demonstrate superior presentation skills by easily presenting in front of a group as well as in one-to-one situations with Senior Level decision makers.

  5. Develop and build meaningful business relationships with existing and prospective sponsors.

  6. Communicate well across all areas of the organization.

  7. Conduct business during non-traditional hours, taking advantage of opportunities to interact with clients and prospects during games and at events.

  8. Work closely with Client Services Coordinator to ensure that all clients receive superior customer service and complete fulfillment of their contract and measures of success.

  9. Coordinate and/or assist with sponsor-related projects, as assigned.

  10. Assist with planning, advertising, managing and implementing the Marketing Department’s various special events.

  11. Work to preserve and protect the Green Bay Packers and Lambeau Field trademarks and brands.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor degree and/or the equivalent training & experience.

  2. Minimum three-five years of successful sponsorship sales experience with emphasis in sports or media (TV, radio, digital).

  3. Strong understanding of basic marketing and advertising principles.

  4. Experience in developing outstanding internal and external business relationships.

  5. Demonstrates flexibility and creative problem solving skills.

  6. Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the proven ability to multi-task.

  7. Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours, within a team environment.

  8. Must be self-motivated and adept at working both independently and as part of a team.

  9. Possesses excellent communication skills, both written and verbally.

  10. Understands and has the ability to provide superior customer service.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time throughout the day.

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time throughout the day.

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for periods of time.

  • Ability to focus on projects for periods of time.

  • Operates in a professional office environment.

  • Role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Level: Level 6; Game Day

Location: Green Bay, Wisconsin

Reports to: Game & Fan Development Manager and Game Entertainment Intern

Supervises: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective:

Pack Attack members are part of a highly visible “street team” that represents the Packers brand at various Packers events throughout the year. Pack Attack members will work closely with the Game Presentation department, but will also gain experience working with other departments such as Sales & Business Development and Brand & Marketing. This is an event-based paid position and entails weekdays, early mornings, nights and weekends.

Timeframe: July 2017 – February 2018

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Game Presentation department with the execution of various events throughout the year (Draft Day, 5K Run, Training Camp, Family Night, etc.).

  2. Assist the Game Presentation department with execution of game day events (on-field promotions, Johnsonville Tailgate Village, etc.).

  3. Assist other departments with various events as needed (sponsor events / promotions, fan events, Packers Pass Program, etc.).

  4. Pack Attack members are expected to attend training camp practices, Family Night, all home games and other events as needed.

  5. Other duties/events as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Ability to demonstrate above average communication and problem solving skills.

  2. Must be able to work independently and within a team environment.

  3. Ability to manage projects with a high level of responsibility.

  4. Demonstrate an excellent work ethic.

  5. Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours.

  6. Must represent the Packers brand in a highly respectable manner.

  7. Open to High School Juniors or Seniors and College Students.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to reach, bend, climb, and lift on a frequent basis.

  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders.

Travel: No regular travel is expected for this position.
