Marketing and Sponsorship Intern - Denver Broncos Football Club (Denver, CO)

Job Title: Marketing and Sponsorship Intern
Department: Marketing & Sponsorship
Reports to: Director of Partnership Marketing/Director of Marketing
Timeline: June 5, 2017 – February 2, 2018

Normal work hours: Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. However, this position requires a flexible schedule and the ability to work evenings and weekends.

SUMMARY: The Denver Broncos are currently seeking post-graduate Marketing and Sponsorship Interns for the 2017 season. These full-time, paid positions will provide the opportunity to gain valuable work experience within an NFL organization through hands-on involvement and project ownership. Interns must commit to the role from June 2017 through January 2018.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist marketing and sponsorship departments with all essential tasks as requested
  • Answer main phone line for marketing department and transfer calls to appropriate staff members
  • Handle all mail coming in and going out of the marketing department – postage, mail merge, packaging, etc.
  • Order office supplies for department including items for break room and make coffee daily
  • Keep office organized, clean and professional at all times
  • Handle all event and affinity group registrations (Broncos Bunch kids club, Crush – women’s fan club, license plate program, etc.)
  • Send out all general marketing correspondence to fans
  • Assist with all events including all Broncos home games
  • Provide support to marketing and sponsorship teams through market research, competitive activity and industry trends
  • Provide support for marketing and sponsorship staff on game day from activation set up and fulfillment both pregame and in-game, digital creative reporting and proof of performance, suite hosting, etc.
  • Prepare monthly sponsorship newsletter and case studies
  • Assist with sponsor asset fulfillment
  • Prepare status reports for weekly meetings
  • Prepare recommendations and order branded giveaways/merchandise
  • Assist with presentations, sponsorship collateral and end of season recaps

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must have completed Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university by start date of the intern program. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.  Comfortable working on multiple projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced team environment.  Prior sports team experience a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or members of the business community.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

ThunderVision Internship - Denver Broncos (Denver, CO)

ThunderVision Productions and the Denver Broncos are seeking a qualified intern to work with the Creative Services team.  Candidates must be pursuing a degree, or be a recent graduate, in a Television Production, Digital Video, Journalism, Motion Graphic Design or Applied Communication program and must have an interest in Sports Television Production. This is a 9-month appointment beginning June 1st.

Requirements:            

Hands-on experience in all areas of live and edited video production is required.  Qualified candidates must have intermediate to advanced experience with Adobe Premiere Pro Edit software and the Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.  ENG production experience, as well as an understanding of video assets management, is highly desirable, as is a working knowledge of other 3-D and motion graphic programs.  Interns must be available to work at 24 to 30 hours per week at Mile High for the duration of the internship.

Internship Details:      

This is a paid internship with opportunities to work as a vital member of the ThunderVision crew on game days and during other events held at the stadium.  Duties include, but are not limited to, logging, editing, graphic design and production, live gameday production and assistance during ENG and EFP shoots. Production facilities include non-linear editing, a full broadcast control room for live productions, ENG equipment and audiovisual systems.  Productions appear on in-stadium video and LED displays, broadcast channels, an internal IPTV system and DenverBroncos.com.
