Director of Client Services - Dallas Cowboys (Irving, TX)

Summary Description

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Director is responsible for the implementation, execution and overall management of Dallas Cowboys corporate sponsors and related partners through the Client Service team. The Director will be responsible for the overall execution of a departmental plan that delivers on established goals and objectives. In addition, the Director will provide an annual analysis and budget review of all Dallas Cowboys sponsor and event programs. (Director may be called upon for transactional based sales meetings as needed by the Vice President).

Responsibilities

• Management and development of Client Service team (Currently staff of 5)
• Oversee the sponsorship contract process in concert with the individual Sales Manager, Sales Director, and Legal Department
• Primary liaison to the organization for day-to-day contract questions and issues
• Working knowledge of all Dallas Cowboys corporate sponsorship contracts
• Complete knowledge, understanding and management of all sponsorship/marketing inventory
• Working knowledge of individual corporate sponsor goals/objectives to aid in the fulfillment of marketing elements as outlined in agreements
• Manage the process for execution of sponsorship activation programs that maximize value for each partner.
• Manage the process for development of creative and compelling activation programs for sponsors who do not have internal resources to support the partnership
• Insure maximization of all marketing elements within each sponsorship to solidify renewal and growth potential of each relationship
• Provide on-going analysis of updated initiatives or current events of each sponsor
• Provide on-going up-sell suggestions from target inventory to Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships in order to accomplish updated objectives
• Assist in the development of the team’s game presentation and operations with the stadium operations staff as it relates to sponsored elements. Responsibilities include: coordination of all in-arena and out of arena programs, media properties, in-arena LED, digital signage, sponsored plaza activities, road trips, hospitality and any other programs associated with Corporate Sales team.
• Provide cost effective solutions to the implementation of sponsor programs, keeping in mind the overall budget parameters as instructed by the Vice President
• Manage all sponsorship annual recaps and conduct all review meetings in coordination with Sales, for corporate and event partners where applicable
• Acquire and demonstrate a working knowledge of the NFL rules and policies, especially in the areas of trademark and licensing, as well as broadcast mediums
• Manage individual tasks and projects as assigned by Vice President
• Identify and enhance hospitality opportunities to be used for the advantage of increased sales and development (examples include: Annual Golf Tournament, Sponsor Summit)
• Approve year-round calendar of fulfillment based projects/activities for review by Vice President
• Suggest service areas where improvements can benefit each sponsor relationship and overall company objectives
• Management and implementation of Client Services support programs i.e. – KORE
• Primary liaison between Corporate Sponsorship Sales and Service


Measurements of Success

• Fulfillment of all sponsorship obligations on behalf of the Dallas Cowboys
• Maximized the value of each partnership as determined by the partner (collaborative approach delivering value to the partner)
• Assisted in renewal of key sponsorships at a rate of 90% or more
• Demonstrate continued expertise in the development of sponsorship packages and promotional concepts to assist sales team
• Managed own areas of responsibility within the overall process of fulfillment and implementation of the servicing plan
• Assisted members of the department and organization where appropriate
• Developed positive “team” culture within Department
• Identified and passed along to sales staff any potential sponsors or category developments

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree
• Minimum of 2 years management experience
• Three – Five years of successful experience in sports or brand marketing

• Passion for the sports industry

The Headwear Designer is responsible for the fit, patterns, fabric and graphic and technical design of Dallas Cowboys headwear. The Headwear Designer is responsible for monitoring fashion and lifestyle trends, as well as frequently interacting with various merchandising and sales groups.

Job Responsibilities:

- Coordinate with creative and merchandising teams to ensure innovation of designs that meet both pricing guidelines and merchandising needs, while taking into consideration product creation timelines
- Create technical packages to be sent to factories for production
- Provide market research to maintain relevant knowledge of current trends including color, technology and the other industry related items

Qualifications:

- 5 years experience in Headwear Design required

Job Description


Successful candidate will be responsible for processing the following items within the Catering and Special Events Department:

• Reports directly to Director of Catering and Special Events
• Responsible for making sure all Catering and Special Event folders are organized, closed and filed properly
• Ensures that all request forms are up to date
• Updates revenue forecast and calendar site daily
• Responsible for coordinating any outside purchases / rentals for events and ensuring that purchase order numbers are given to all orders
• Updates and maintains Director of Catering and Special Events records and calendar on a weekly basis to include Beverage Consumptions, Event Orders, Final Invoices and Catering Weekly Schedule
• Coordinates suite meetings for suite holders and sponsors
• Assures the Change Log is run and posted to Goal Post on a daily basis
• Assist in Payment Collection for future events
• Responsible for ordering and restocking office supplies as needed
• Assist department in any additional administrative duties
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Office and PowerPoint
• Experience with Delphi is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment and adjust to changes
• Desire to work as part of a team
 

Qualifications


• 2-3 years experience in catering administration
• Strong computer skills

Daily

  •  Help evaluate the food production as well as the time lines of all catering and banquet functions on/off-site as needed
  • Helps to evaluate the food production as well as the timeliness of all catering and banquet functions on and off-site

  • Aids the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef in maintain the highest possible rating from the Health Department monthly, throughout the year and daily on game day
  • Assists in the training, safety, sanitation and accident prevention controls within the kitchen
  • Helps to develop and test recipes as well as techniques for food preparation and presentation to ensure high quality
  • Assists in the assurance of consistent food qualities in both presentation and preparation
  • Helps ensure that all recipes and methods are being followed
  • Assists in the overseeing of kitchen equipment maintenance
  • Reports and documents hazardous conditions or unsafe practices within the work environment
  • Contributes to the creation of menu specifications for all food items including all pricing information
  • Works directly with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef on food production and menu development
  • Ensures high and consistent food qualities in both presentation and preparation
  • Assists in the checking and tasting all food before events take place

Event

  • Align with the Executive Chef to discuss the client’s expectations.
  • Ensure agreement of delivery times, amounts and special arrangements. Communicate service needs throughout the function.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of service requirements for assigned functions:
  • Detailed menu selections, major ingredients, appearance, texture, quality standards, garnish and method of presentation.
  • Attend pre-function meeting with Kitchen Staff, and review all information pertinent to event execution
  • Troubleshoot situations that may arise during events to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure all closing duties for kitchen are completed.
  • Conduct training of staff as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent vocational trainingcertificate, some college.
  • 3  -5 years experience as as chef.
  • Must be flexible in work hours and available to work days, evenings and holidays.
  • Ability to work all stations in the Kitchen.
  • Previous experience with all products and food ingredients.
  • Operate, clean and maintain all equipment required in job functions.
