AV Production Intern - Spring 2015 - Kansas City Chiefs (Kansas City, MO)

JOB SUMMARY: This is an unpaid spring 2015 internship with 65 Toss Power Trap Productions, the in-house production arm of the Kansas City Chiefs, responsible for broadcast, episodic television programming, internet content, in-house company projects, spots, and the in-stadium show. The person selected for this internship will assist the department with a wide variety of audio and video projects. This intern must have audio/video production experience.

Our HD stadium and television shows, and new ventures in online video programming have taken on tremendous upgrades in philosophy and equipment, and we are eager to keep the ball rolling with young energetic, artistic talent thirsty for experience. We give all interns real world, in-the-trenches experience, opportunities to enhance the department, and great referrals when we see them go. The AV Production Intern will shoot video, log, archive, and edit football content and features, and assist in Arrowhead’s control room show. This intern is a functional part of our team and must be coachable to learn proven award-winning philosophies in production.  Travel is sometimes necessary and always reimbursed.  Approximately 40 hours a week with flexible scheduling.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Produce/shoot/edit video elements to be used in-stadium, TV and/or Internet.
  • Assist in the maintenance of Arrowhead Production equipment.
  • Shoot, log, and archive football footage.
  • Projects include: Cheerleader events, local stories, football plays, web video edits and graphics, football practices and press conferences (with the NFL Network).

  • Qualified candidates must possess superior organizational skills and be able to function in a fast-paced, multi-task setting.

  • Use of analytical skills to identify and improve performance and program execution will be necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS):

  • Video Production Experience including Writing, Non-Linier Editing (Avid/Final Cut), Camera Operation, Lighting and Audio Set Up.
  • Knowledge of After Effects and Photoshop and/or other relevant Multimedia software preferred.
  • Knowledge QuickTime, MPEG and various audio files (mp3/.wav) preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong creative skills that can be applied to TV, In-Stadium and Internet production applications.
  • Must be a willing and able team player, ready to learn new concepts and processes, and willing to travel for shoots when necessary.
  • Must be able to shoot video. We can train. DSLR/Panasonic P2 cameras a plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Environmental Cleaner - Kansas City Chiefs (Kansas City, MO)

Position Profile: Environmental Cleaner

Department: Stadium Operations

Reports to:Stadium Services Manager

Job Summary: Cleaners are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the stadium during events. Duties and hours may vary. A cleaner may be responsible for any or all of the following tasks. Tasks may also change throughout a cleaner’s employment. The position is a part-time seasonal position.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Restrooms: Cleans and disinfects sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, etc. Replenishes
bathroom supplies. Polishes metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.
2. Floors: Sweeps, mops, vacuums, floors using brooms, mops and vacuum cleaners. Other floor
work may be required such as: scrubbing, waxing and polishing floors.
3. Suites: Cleans and disinfects sinks, countertops, tables, chairs, refrigerators, etc. Replenishes suite supplies.
4. Dust: Dusts furniture, equipment, partitions, etc.
5. Trash: Empties wastebaskets and recyclables and transports to disposal area.

Job Summary: Responsible for the execution of email communication and loyalty program.  This position will assist with the creation and development of email marketing campaigns and loyalty program fulfillment along with cataloging and reporting results.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

·         Coordinate and execute email communication to Season Ticket Members, fans and guests of Arrowhead Stadium. The execution of the email communication includes but is not limited to:

o   Maintaining the communication calendar to ensure messages are being sent to the right recipients at the optimal time.

o   Executing all aspects of the communication process including list segmentation, email design, email messaging, email deployment and campaign analytics.

o   Coordinating and fulfilling cross-departmental communication requests from Corporate Partnerships, Customer Relations, Marketing, Ticket Sales and Ticket Operations.

o   Managing direct marketing messages for various department

o   Maintaining the integrity of the Chiefs brand as it relates to design and verbiage.

o   Analyzing data gleaned from electronic communication solution and put into practice key findings to achieve optimal results.

o   Calculating return on campaign for sales messages.

o   Continuing research into optimization strategies to increase conversion rates.

·         Execute the day-to-day management of the loyalty program to best serve as an avenue to strengthen engagement with fans.  The execution of the loyalty program includes but is not limited to:

o   Maintaining a fresh, up-to-date website

o   Overseeing the fulfillment of prizes, experiences and redemptions

o   Ensuring point allocation is completed in an efficient and correct manner

o   Coordinating the marketing of the loyalty program as it relates to email, social media and other Chiefs websites

o   Assisting with various departments’ initiatives as it relates to the loyalty program and the loyalty website.

o   Keeping on top of trends in the loyalty realm and bringing new ideas to the table

o   Analyzing program to understand return on investment and overall engagement impact.

Part-Time Groundskeeper - Kansas City Chiefs (Kansas City, MO)

Position Profile: Part-Time Groundskeeper

Department: Stadium Operations

Reports to: Head Grounds Keeper

Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY: This is a part-time position working approximately 20-30 hours per week as a Groundskeeper.  This position will work alongside the Stadium Operations Department and assist with maintaining stadium grounds.


ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Maintain field, practice fields, and landscaping around the stadium.
2. Repair, service, and clean grounds equipment.
3. Perform routine department duties such as mowing, trimming, and edging.
4. Assist with field set-up, pest control, painting, irrigation repair, weed control, fertilization, maintenance, as well as hedge and tree pruning.
5. Assist with field prep for concerts, events, Chiefs games, and college games held at Arrowhead Stadium. 
6. Additional responsibilities as assigned.

1. High school education/GED equivalent.
2. Educational background in turfgrass management preferred.
3. Valid Driver’s License.
4. Candidate must be a team player and have the ability to work effectively and professionally when working independently.
5. Follow all policies/procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules, regulations and emergency procedures established at the facility and governed by state and federal law.
6. Experience in maintaining irrigation systems and maintaining artificial sports fields a plus.
7. Experience operating equipment related to the turf grass industry.

Rate of pay: $15.70

The Kansas City Chiefs are currently seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and talented individual to intern as the Photography Intern during the spring 2015 semester.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Assist with shooting stadium events, with a specific eye for quality photos.
  • Edit photos, including traditional editing and resizing for recaps.
  • Catalogue existing photo database.
  • Represent the Kansas City Chiefs in a positive and professional manner.
