Community Relations: Community Relations
Bucs Care Assistant - Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Tampa, FL)

This position reports to the SR Manager Community Relations.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Primarily support all aspects of the Bucs Vision Mobile powered by Glazer Family Foundation (GFF) program which will plan to visit 60 schools a year. Includes:

  • Assist with the implementation of GFF programs and events especially related to the Vision Mobile Program
    • Schedule mobile unit in Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties
    • Coordinate site visits to schools
    • Interact with school representatives to facilitate Vision Mobile Program needs
    • Coordinate Interactive Experience for students participating in Vision Programming
    • Prepare status updates for internal use
    • Troubleshoot all Vision Mobile Program needs
    • Report all necessary data and provide follow-up reports to key stakeholders following visits
    • Order Vision program giveaways and manage inventory
    • Oversee and manage staff at interactive experiences including cheer, interns, and street team
    • Manage the Buccaneers Kid’s Zone on game days 
    • Support logistical needs for non-school related Vision Mobile programming including Training Camp, game day and possible “Vision Day” event
    • Work with all Vision Mobile program volunteers
  • Coordinate merchandise or other programmatic needs for Enterprise Village
  • Maintain GFF Social Media elements and create departmental briefs  
  • Maintain files for all GFF programs
  • Oversee delivery of weekly report of CR/GFF activities for Ownership
  • Open and organize CR/GFF mail including donation requests and fan mail; track donations, respond to such inquiries as requested
  • Receive and route phone calls for CR/GFF and Community Relations Department.  Handle general calls regarding community relations initiatives/policies.
  • Assist and attend Community Relations department events as needed.
  • Assist with coordinating graphics requests from CR/GFF for annual events/programs.
  • Ensure maintenance of and updates to GFF materials and branded items
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of donation merchandise, office supplies, stadium merchandise and department merchandise.
  • Submit and track purchase orders; order supplies and follow through to delivery upon receipt of purchase order; track transactions in budget book.
  • Assist with the Buccaneers Women’s Platform programs and projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Director and Sr. Manager CR.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in non-profit organization or corporate philanthropy
  • Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • The ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • An outgoing personality and a professional demeanor.
  • The ability to work long and flexible hours incl. evenings, weekends and holidays

Community Relations: Community Relations
Community Relations Manager - Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Tampa, FL)

The Manager oversees all aspects of the Buc’s affinity-centered programming, including: the “Buccaneer Academies”  and other education-related activities.  This position reports to the Director of Community Relations.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Manage ongoing involvement at the school-level for Buccaneers Academies, including Fitness Zone completions, developing signature programming, creating collateral materials, and implementing NFL-supported youth programs
  • Build ongoing relationships with principals, teachers, and parents of students at Buccaneers Academies to increase engagement and ongoing participation in our programming
  • Create specialized activities and curricula for Buccaneer Academies students and other Tampa Bay area youth
  • Coordinate Game Day activities for Buccaneers Academy students
  • Serve as a liaison between the Buccaneers and youth-centered non-profits on programming needs and requests
  • Coordinate affinity group programming with Sales department
  • Manage affinity group CR programming, including but not limited to, Hispanic and Women’s Outreach.
  • Create affinity programming that demonstrates that the Bucs value diversity
  • Develop and manage youth-related tours and events at One Buc Place such as “Behind the Scenes Tours”. This includes updating curriculum, handling scheduling and implementation
  •  Develop and implement Buccaneers’ year-round youth education initiatives, such as community cheer clinics, and health and wellness programming as directed. This includes developing a large scale annual youth fan event.
  • Direct the development of youth fitness initiatives at the Buccaneers Academies and at the Bucs facility in conjunction with Pewter Partners (i.e. Dairy Council of Florida, NFL Play 60 initiatives).   
  • Other duties as requested by Director

Bucs Care on Bucs.com Activities and Ongoing Support:

  • Support the implementation of all the CR/Buccaneers Academy content on Bucs.com digital and traditional delivery methods
  • Provide fresh content throughout the year, updating the Bucs Care site with “Bucs in the community” news, recent and upcoming events, and any new community initiatives of the team
  • Manage, update and edit site content, including written text, news stories, photos, audio and video formats
  • Create sports-related quizzes, contests and challenges that are engaging for youth and tie back to other traditional Buccaneer Academies educational initiatives and can be shared online  
  • Maintain an interactive events calendar of all Bucs’ CR programming 
  • Support social media aspects of Bucs Care as appropriate for age of participants; coordinate all messaging with other Bucs branded social media to insure overall social media strategy is followed
  • Work closely with Marketing and Digital departments to ensure consistent Bucs Care messaging across all platforms     

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ Years’ experience managing & developing large scale educational programming and/or non-profit outreach
  • Experience in youth-related programming for at-risk youth, preferred
  • Experience with developing and supporting online communities, especially for affinity groups
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • The ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment

This position will work with YOUTH ATHLETES in Hillsborough County, FL.

The Football Development assistant will work seasonal, part-time at all Tampa Bay Buccaneers football development camps, clinics, and combines. Main responsibilities will be to play an essential role in helping youth acquire the necessary developmental assets they need to achieve success on and off the field.   

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Buccaneers Football Development team during all youth football activities
  • Coordinate and execute all accreditation: guest arrivals, check-in process
  • Assist Football Development coach with the implementation of football skills and drills
  • Assist with administrative tasks that are assigned by the Manager of Football Development
  • Responsible for daily set-up and clean-up of all materials used during the camps, clinics
  • Provide regular updates on camp challenges, opportunities and best practices

This position will work with YOUTH ATHLETES in Hillsborough County, FL.

The Football Development Coach will work seasonal, part-time at all Tampa Bay Buccaneers football youth development camps. Main responsibilities will focus on the execution of youth football camps/clinics, drills and stations with youth from ages 3-18.  Collaborate with other coaches to enhance the overall Buccaneers Football Development experience for youth.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Coach football development camp participants individually and in groups
  • Utilize a variety of appropriate strategies and resources to develop youth football skills
  • Evaluate the individual development of athlete football skills 
  • Promote USA Football Head’s Up Tackling and Blocking
  • Ability to plan individual skill stations and drills
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the area being coached
  • Monitor and maintain the discipline and conduct of youth participants
  • Demonstrate the ability to adjust instruction of strategy and fundamentals to youth participant’s needs and interests 
  • Practice and promote positive interaction with and among youth participants
  • Use positive reinforcement and constructive criticism to maintain good athlete discipline
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive football development plans

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
