Digital Media Webmaster - Cleveland Browns (Cleveland, OH)

Summary Description:

The Digital Media Webmaster is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day digital operations of the Cleveland Browns – which includes the design, development, presentation and maintenance of ClevelandBrowns.com, the team mobile apps as well as the team’s mobile and social platforms.

Duties:

  • Operating the team’s content management system to update and maintain the official site on a daily basis, including nights and weekends, as needed
  • Resolve any technical issues involving the website on a timely basis
  • Coordinate the production and trafficking of digital and creative assets between internal departments, and technology partners in the areas of email, social, web and mobile application development
  • Design and build new site pages, special sections, multimedia applications, and sponsored content for the team’s digital platforms, utilizing HTML, CSS, Javascript and  Flash software
  • Creating and editing graphics for the team’s sites and e-mail newsletters, including sponsor advertisements, promotional banners and photos
  • Possess and maintain a strong understanding of emerging industry trends
  • Assist with the development, implementation and rollout of new technologies
  • Analyzing data from multiple sources, and producing reports in an effort to present insights into the usage, performance and success of the club's digital initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-3 years of digital experience
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, Dreamweaver, and Flash
  • Thorough understanding of web and mobile development processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and proven attention to detail
  • Experience developing mobile assets, including apps and tablet devices
  • Able to work long, flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to succeed in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Experience working in sports is preferred, and the NFL a plus

Inside Sales Representative - Cleveland Browns (Cleveland, OH)

The Cleveland Browns Inside Sales team offers sales professionals the training, coaching, and environment to establish a successful career in professional sports.

The Cleveland Browns, under the ownership of Jimmy Haslam and the leadership of President Alec Scheiner, have established one of the most dynamic sales teams in professional sports. With newly renovated offices at the Berea practice complex and record growth in ticket sales over the last two years, the Browns are setting the standard in sports industry sales.

Members of the Inside Sales Program receive comprehensive training enabling them to sell a full menu of products including Season Tickets, Group Events, Suites, and Browns Hospitality. The Browns primary focus is to develop and promote the industry’s top performers from within Inside Sales and build successful careers in the sports industry.

Description: Inside Sales Representatives work 40 hours per week and are responsible for 100 outbound calls each day. New business calls are intended to set appointments at the Browns newly renovated practice complex as well as make sales over the phone with a full menu of ticket products. In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, Inside Sales Representatives attend one networking event each week as well as team promotional events. Game-day responsibilities include prospecting at sales tables, servicing client accounts, and other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contact current and past customers and qualified sales leads to generate new sales
  • Ability to sell and up-sell, including but not limited to: season ticket plans, Browns hospitality and suites, as well as group packages
  • Responsible for working on a computerized ticketing system
  • Mail ticket orders and product information
  • Handle all facets of work associated with incoming customer inquiries for Cleveland Browns season ticket sales
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience, Education and Licensure:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong customer service focus: project positive, helpful attitude and willingness to go above and beyond
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and active listening skills
  • Must be proficient in data entry and detail oriented
  • Flexibility to work shifts that include evenings and weekends

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Vice President of Digital Media - Cleveland Browns (Cleveland, OH)

The Vice President of Digital Media is a newly created role and will be responsible for managing digital operations across Cleveland Browns digital platforms. The VP will oversee digital performance as a whole, ensuring performance and financial accountability. The VP will be responsible for all analytics (research, reporting, sentiment analysis, etc.), user acquisition, project management, budget monitoring and performance, and managing vendor relationships. The VP will also act as strategic thought leader and partner with the executive and marketing team as well as to the overall business.

The goal is to ensure the digital team maintains a relentless commitment to excellence across all digital platforms, including desktop and mobile and driving value for Cleveland Browns business partners and fan engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the club’s digital team that manages reporting and analytics systems to ensure production and advertising teams have insights into all areas of product performance and fan media consumption
  • Manage administrative project management across the organization, from tech to product to content, ensuring we produce high-quality products, with the right allocation of resources, and deliver them on time
  • Oversee user acquisition and tactics to drive use of white label subscription media products, increase digital engagement and enhance the overall user digital fan experience
  • Drive the execution of cross-platform operational best-practices that enable growth of the business
  • Manage all critical vendor contracts and ensure most-favorable deal terms secured and rigorous are in place to support and grow the business
  • Communicate and collaborate closely with content and programming, sales, business development and other key constituents within the company to ensure digital products and services are meeting stated goals and objectives
  • Ensure product and services produce scalable, secure and profitable output
  • Design, recruit, retain and mentor the digital staff who will maintain operational rigor and efficiency as well as identify ways for the business to perform better for Cleveland Browns fans and partners
  • Manage operation cost budgets as well as meet revenue targets for specific product lines

The successful candidate will have the following specific experience and possess these necessary skills:

  • 10+ years of increasingly responsible professional experience in project and program management, research and analytics, digital product marketing and financial services roles within the consumer internet, eCommerce or digital media sectors
  • Experience launching, managing and monitoring consumer-oriented digital products
  • Has effectively created, implemented and directed administrative program management and/or technical project management functions in high-profile digital media organization or events that have delivered notable successes
  • Experience working in fast-paced media technology environment with specific emphasis on game-changing consumer experiences
  • Track-record of managing successful launches of significant digital media products or events on multiple platforms and products
  • Track-record of operating at a high strategic level, while also being able to quickly drill down into the minutiae of technology, products, and services
  • Experience leveraging analytical inputs to create well-rounded systems that help businesses operate more efficiently or develop products that meet the needs of customers today
  • Solid track-record of creating and implementing successful business processes that allow for thorough yet rapid evaluation and execution of opportunities
  • Creative, hands-on, and entrepreneurial attitude
  • Commercial savvy, bottom line driven and focused on profitable growth; strong financial acumen
