Partnership Activation Coordinator - Minnesota Vikings (Minneapolis, MN)

The Minnesota Vikings are seeking a Partnership Activation Coordinator.  This position will coordinate the execution and activation of our partnership agreements and assist in special projects, while collaborating with all key stakeholders to advance the goals and priorities of the Minnesota Vikings organization and the Sales & Marketing department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Coordinate and execute partner contractual elements flawlessly, in a timely manner and with a high level of attention to detail

  • Work with cross-functional marketing team to develop, maintain and execute partner programs within the integrated marketing calendar

  • Coordinate corporate partner relationships by executing sponsorship elements, potentially including but not limited to: radio and TV advertising, print, digital and social media integrations, permanent and digital signage, pre-game and in-game promotions, Vikings Training Camp, special events, sponsor trips, charity events, autographed items, appearances/promotions, etc.
  • Work with television and radio broadcast partners to coordinate advertising on team-controlled productions, including gameday radio broadcasts, pre-season TV broadcasts and ancillary television and radio programming
  • Provide general administrative support such as supporting recaps, preparing correspondence, forms and reports, arranging meetings, composing regular correspondence, processing confidential reports and documents, filing electronic and hard copy, tracking deadlines, and taking meeting notes as needed
  • Develop, coordinate and assist with special projects including game day hospitality, external events and department outings
  • Coordinate logistical elements of gameday and additional event activations, working closely with the Events, Game Operations and VENAssist in the preparation of department presentations

  • Assist at games with suite visits and other special events with promotional functions as required

  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of new ideas/opportunities that drive revenue and upsell opportunities

  • Responsible for tracking and communicating partner related expenses and inventory throughout the year

  • Provide consistent communication and status updates to partners and the Vikings’ internal team

  • Conduct ongoing best practices research with other teams and venues as it relates to partnership activation 

  • Assist Activation and Sales teams with research and presentation development for prospective partners

  • Provide support for department staff and initiatives as needed

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extremely customer focused (with both external and internal clients)
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to be aggressive, polished and poised under pressure
  • 2-4 years of experience in sports sponsorship service/activation or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Analytical experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks, establish priorities, and consistently meet deadlines
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign and Adobe Illustrator
  • An effective communicator orally and written with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Available to work extended hours including evenings, weekends and holidays

Youth Marketing Intern - Minnesota Vikings (Minneapolis, MN)

SUMMARY:  The Minnesota Vikings are seeking a Youth Marketing Intern that will assist with programs and initiatives that will develop the next generation of Vikings fans.  Additionally, this individual will aid in other team marketing engagements on game days, regional marketing events, and special Vikings team events.  The ideal candidate will be prepared to deal with fast paced nature of the National Football League while becoming an effective team player within the Vikings Marketing Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with youth marketing database management and development.

  • Manage Vikings Kids Club database and membership fulfillment.

  • Assist in planning of the Vikings Explorers youth program and management of the on-site execution of the program.

  • Aid marketing staff in execution of team programs and events including, but not limited to the Vikings Kids Club, Vikings of Tomorrow, and school outreach programs.

  • Assist in the planning and production of the youth television show Vikings Huddle.

  • Collaborate with corporate partnerships team to ideate and execute enriching partner activations related to youth programming and marketing initiatives.

  • Assist in growing existing youth programs and developing new programs to enhance youth outreach.

  • Manage on-site execution of the Sound the North traveling regional marketing activation, including extensive driving across Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota.

  • Aid with marketing activations at other Vikings special events including Training Camp, Draft Party, Taste of the Vikings, etc.

  • Assist with executing and planning the Commons Park, our youth activation space, during every Vikings home game.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 4 year college degree

  • Relevant experiences in sports marketing is preferred.

  • The ability and desire to work long, flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

  • Must be a positive team player with strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and multi-tasking skills.

  • Clean driving record and ability to operate team pick-up truck and travel trailer to execute regional marketing events throughout Minnesota.

  • Desire to learn and advance knowledge and skills within the professional sports industry.

  • Familiarity with Office computer software will be required.
