Information Systems/Technical: IT Database Management/Services
Database Administrator - Football Operations - Minnesota Vikings (Eden Prairie, MN)

SUMMARY: The Minnesota Vikings are seeking a seasoned Database Administrator (DBA) to work in the Football Operations Department. This position maintains, supports and develops the data that runs our software applications, which includes player information, evaluation platforms, etc. The ideal candidate is a DBA that is proficient in MS SQL Server, has a minimum of 3 year's experience as a DBA working with MS SQL Server 2008 and higher, handles ambiguity well, can function with limited supervision, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and displays the ability to learn new technology quickly.
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain and support MS SQL databases for football applications
• Perform database updates
• Schedule and execute jobs
• Troubleshoot performance and access issues
• Create ad-hoc queries and reports as requested
• Work with developers to assist in the database design for new and existing applications
• Troubleshoot replication issues
• Develop and test comprehensive backup and disaster recovery plans
• Ability to present information in user-friendly language or manner
• Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with MS SQL Server 2008 or higher
• Experience with Azure SQL Databases
• Experience with MS Access databases
• Experience designing tables and selecting appropriate datatypes
• Experience with T-SQL
• Experience resolving database integrity, performance, security, and connectivity issues
• Strong understanding of SQL Server tools such as Profiler, SSMS, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience with C# or VB.Net
• Telerik Reporting
• Data analytics experience

Seasonal Ticket Sales Representative - Minnesota Vikings (Minneapolis, MN)

The Minnesota Vikings are drafting a team of seasonal Ticket Sales Representatives. We are scouting a team of professionals who will focus on generating tickets sales – group tickets, season tickets, and other ticket packages - utilizing a targeted outbound effort of phone calls.

Summary:
Ticket Sales Representatives will earn $9 per hour plus commission and bonus opportunities. This seasonal full-time position will be located at the Vikings Ticket Office located at the New Stadium Preview Center, downtown Minneapolis. Typical hours are 37 ½ hours per week, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, as well as game days. This seasonal position will potentially extend into September or the end of the football season, depending on business needs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Make outgoing calls to customers and prospects relating to various ticket marketing initiatives such as selling season ticket packages
• Cultivate new business and service existing clients
• Meet and exceed weekly and monthly sales and productivity goals
• Update and maintain information in the Archtics database
• Assist in the collection process
• Game Day and Special Event responsibilities to support ticket sales initiatives
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Perform other duties as assigned and occasionally work non-traditional hours.

Qualifications:
• Strong telephone and communication skills
• A willingness to engage in a high volume of telemarketing sales efforts
• Experience in customer sales and service
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills
• A friendly, professional and confident demeanor
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• The ability to maintain confidential and/or proprietary information

Facility Operations/Security: Grounds Crew/Turf Management
Turf Intern (Seasonal) - Minnesota Vikings (Eden Prairie, MN)

The Minnesota Vikings are accepting applications for full-time (40+ hours per week) Seasonal Turf Interns for the football season of 2015. The Internships will run from March or May of 2015 to the end of the season (December or January of 2016). This Internship includes all aspects of professional football field maintenance at the Viking’s Winter Park practice facility in Eden Prairie, MN, as well as TCF Stadium and may include projects at our Training Camp in Mankato, MN. The scope of work will include, but is not limited to: sodding, mowing, overseeding, irrigation management, fertilization, field layout, painting and topdressing.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform landscape maintenance including; mowing, fertilizing, trimming, weed management, irrigation and pruning
• Operate small landscape machinery including lawnmowers, trimmers and other miscellaneous equipment
• General maintenance to landscape equipment – filling gas, change oil/fluids and adding lubricants
• May perform other facility and building maintenance as needed

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Turfgrass Management or related experience preferred
• Ability to work long hours including evenings, weekends and holidays in an outdoor environment is required
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and operate heavy machinery
