Finance: Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable
Accounts Payable/Accounting Assistant - Minnesota Vikings (Eden Prairie, MN)

The Accounts Payable (AP)/Accounting Assistant will perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient, accurate, and timely maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.  This position processes a high volume of invoices, consistently enforces tight deadlines and maintains complete and accurate records for the accounting department.  This is a full time position starting in June of 2015.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately and timely process Accounts Payable (including employee expense reports), ensuring correct approvals according to team policy and timely payment
  • Prepare and organize detailed support to be included with checks for review and approval
  • Reconciles and codes corporate purchasing card charges
  • Assists with summary of year end payroll entries (player hotel charges, ticket charges, appearances, etc.)
  • Assists with Form 1099 issuance for contractors at year end
  • Promptly handle vendor correspondence as requested, research and resolve account issues and billing inconsistencies, as well as serve as liaison with departments on internal inquiries
  • Post ledger and general journal entries and ensures reconciliation with subledgers
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
  • Various other administrative duties (e.g. supplies ordering) and special projects (e.g. ticket office reporting) as assigned
  • QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in an AP function
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills to balance and prioritize work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • A superior work ethic including willingness to work extended hours as needed
  • Ability to work independently with the desire to work collaboratively with a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Great Plains accounting software or equivalent preferred

Photography Intern - Minnesota Vikings (Minneapolis, MN)

SUMMARY: The Minnesota Vikings are currently seeking a creative, highly motivated photographer with a passion for football.  The Photography Intern will assist the Team Photographer with shooting, editing, image sourcing and other hands-on events during the 2015 football season.  This position will be full-time, 40 hours per week from June through August, and will change to part-time, 10-15 hours per week from September through the end of the football season.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Photograph Youth Football, Community, and Stadium events
  • Second photographer for various team events, including practices and gamedays
  • Edit photos used on social media
  • Photograph fans and in-game presentation
  • Assist with photoshoots
  • Handle image sourcing / emailing internal & external photo requests
  • Assist Team Photographer with carrying equipment and extra gear
  • Other miscellaneous gameday duties
  • Assist with archiving of photos

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Photography or Photojournalism preferred, or currently enrolled as a student
  • Proficient in Adobe Bridge and Photoshop
  • Demonstrated photography and photo editing experience
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism within a professional sports environment and in media work zones
  • Proficient in photography techniques, including lighting and camera positioning among others

Social Media Director/Manager - Minnesota Vikings (Eden Prairie, MN)

The Social Media Director/Manager will manage all Minnesota Vikings social media initiatives through planning, implementation and measurement phases.  This individual will lead the team’s overall social media strategy and work closely with various departments to support team branding, product sales, strategic messaging and community relations. The Social Media Manager must possess an advanced working knowledge of social media platforms, metrics, and measurement tools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Actively manage Vikings social media campaigns for football and business operations through existing platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and Snapchat, as well as emerging platforms

·Be involved in the planning and execution of Vikings social media efforts in a highly collaborative environment where participation is expected

·Analyze social media platforms through monitoring tools and provide meaningful analytics regarding growth and engagement

·Work with appropriate Vikings staff to help guide brand presence and serve as organizational “voice” on social networking platforms, keeping fans up to date with relevant and “platform appropriate” content; demonstrate creativity in presenting Vikings brand on such platforms

·Work closely with the team’s sales & marketing, community relations, public relations, ticketing, stadium ops, MVC (Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders), Viktor, food/beverage & merchandise sales departments to create and execute social media marketing, promotional and sponsor-related campaigns as needed

·Monitor all social media feeds regularly for timely topics and track the sentiment and messaging from fans, media and stakeholders

·Evaluate and bring perspective to new social media technologies and present pros/cons of each technology in contributing to corporate brand/mission and revenue potential

·Identify opportunities to provide added value to fans and grow company revenue by incorporating marketing partners into social media efforts; attend client meetings, upon request, to strategize and present social media sponsorship opportunities

·Maintain current knowledge of, conduct regular research on and monitor other sites (both sport and non-sport) for latest online innovations and technology

·Evaluate and recommend additional staff, create job description for additional roles, fill positions and manage these direct reports
