Broadcast: Media/Video Production
Editor/Motion Graphics/Videographer - Los Angeles Chargers (Costa Mesa, CA)

The Editor/Motion Graphics/Videographer is responsible for creating, shooting, and editing video content to Chargers.com, Chargers social properties and in-house broadcast content. The Editor/Motion Graphics/Videographer is responsible for (i) creating new and innovative ways to use graphics in video content (ii) creating, editing and producing video content across all our platforms (iii) obtaining the proven ability to positively support the growth of the Chargers brand thru video content. The Editor/Motion Graphics/Videographer will be a part of the Digital Media Group.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Conceptualize, capture, create, and maintain video content specific to Chargers.com and broadcast properties
  • Ability to take videos and add a layer of graphics to help make the content stand out on social channels
  • Ability to conceptualize motion graphics and animation into video content
  • Create short and long-form video packages specific, but not limited to player features, community events, marketing events, cheerleader appearances, etc.
  • Produce, shoot and edit documentary style content that helps tell the stories of the players, fans and staff
  • Create long form and short form content for Chargers platforms
  • Shoot live game footage including post-game sessions and press conferences
  • Strong knowledge of social video concepts and trends
  • Updating and posting video using NFL CMS
  • Must be able to understand and conceptualize goals and execute the project
  • Work closely with digital media staff to ensure quality, consistency, and creative flow of the overall goals.
  • Travel to away games during the season and major offseason events including Pro Bowl, Draft and Combine?

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or professional certification
  • 3-5 Years’ experience in shooting, editing and graphics
  • Extensive skills in Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficient with lighting set up and equipment
  • Knowledge of basic news gathering techniques
  • Background in shooting football and working knowledge of the game itself
  • Expert at outputting video for a web based format
  • A strategic thinker who can make the case for taking calculated risks

Intern, Digital Media Analyst - Los Angeles Chargers (Costa Mesa, CA)

The Chargers digital media staff is seeking a self-motivated, results-driven intern with a focus on data-driven results and revenue generation. This person will assist in all aspects of strategy and analytics including but not limited to analyzing the performance of key digital marketing initiatives. This is an hourly paid position starting in July and ending in mid-February.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Creation and interpretation of website, social and mobile analysis and reporting (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, ad-hoc)
  • Development and maintenance of reporting dashboards
  • Provide subject matter expertise on web analytics, user experience and behavior, data analysis and reporting
  • Assist in uploading and management of display and video pre-roll ad campaigns
  • Create data reports for sponsored content on a weekly basis to understand and maximize performance
  • Responsible for coordination and tracking tags and tracking parameter implementations that support reporting, analytics and Digital Intelligence efforts.
  • Create data-driven insights about visitor behavior from website data on traffic patterns, conversion, navigation behavior, etc.
  • Deliver online and digital reporting to management and internal teams as it relates to campaign performance and testing results.
  • Working on special projects as they arise

The ideal candidate should have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree – preferably in mathematics, statistics or other discipline (with relevant work experience).
  • Experience in web analytics using Adobe Omniture SiteCatalyst and Google Analytics (Similar experience with other analytical and testing platforms will be considered.)
  • Experience in online ad serving platforms (e.g., DoubleClick)
  • Familiarity developing measurement and reporting methodologies for Paid Search, SEO, Display and Social Media campaigns.
  • Exposure to Big Data and the challenges associated with harnessing data to drive insight
  • Experience with traditional/offline marketing not required, but helpful
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office software Suite with strong PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Intern, Social Media - Los Angeles Chargers (Costa Mesa, CA)

The Social Media Intern is responsible for assisting in social initiatives for the Los Angeles Chargers social media channels. This person will work with internal team members to help communicate and amplify the organization’s key messages on various topics via social media. This is an hourly paid position starting in July and ending in mid-February.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Assist with managing Chargers official accounts, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SnapChat and Weibo.
  • Help with idea generation, content development, planning and scheduling for all social media platforms.
  • Provide social coverage on training camp, gamedays and other live events.
  • Evaluate and interpret performance analytics for the purposes of designing fan/follower growth strategies and engagement level improvements.
  • Work with corporate partnership to ensure successful execution of partner-affiliated social media posts and promotions
