Summary Description:

The Information Technology Intern is responsible for assisting the IT department with the organizations Help Desk calls, including user account management. This position will also be required to perform new PC installs, and cell phone management. This is a year-long 40 hour a week position.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responding to and handling the organizations Help Desk calls to completion
  • Following up on open help desk calls and verify their completion
  • Backing up and re-imaging PC’s using Ghost™
  • Unlocking user accounts and resetting passwords
  • Assisting with the support of hardware and software issues as they arise
  • Add/Change cell phones and plans for company employees
  • Printer supply management
  • Other Duties as assigned

Knowledge and Required Skills:

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office 2010 and 2013
  • Technical experience supporting Microsoft Windows XP/7 and Apple OS X
  • Ability to troubleshoot printer problems
  • Basic knowledge of PC Hardware and troubleshooting hardware failures
  • Experience using the Microsoft Management Console, and Active Directory Users and Computers plug-in
  • Be able to lift at least 25 pounds
  • Be detail oriented and have good communication skills
  • Have good documentation skills and the ability to create documentation when needed
  • Basic knowledge of computer networks (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) and Wi-Fi.

The IT Intern will assist in providing day-to-day computing support to the staff of the Kansas City Chiefs.  Duties include assisting with upgrades, configurations and migrations of office computers, providing helpdesk support for end users and troubleshooting computer networks.

  • Manage and monitor spam and commenting modules on social sites, as well as initiate fan discussion and engage with fans on Facebook and Twitter
  • Research ways to improve the Redskins social media platforms and integration on Redskins.com and other team microsites
  • Assist in the dissemination of Redskins breaking news and team updates across all social channels, including SMS and mobile platforms
  • Assist with the management of sponsored tabs, contests and promotions, including providing analytic reports and archiving database records
  • Assist with the updating content on the Redskins Team Mobile App, including rosters, photos, and videos
  • Documenting various Redskins events and uploading pictures, videos and blog content onto Redskins Rule and other social sites.
  • Track and monitor success of online initiatives using various analytic tools to produce daily, weekly and monthly reports to find areas for improvement.
  • Researching potential vendors for the Redskins to partner with for future social media engagements
  • Assist with other duties as necessary
