Paralegal - Jacksonville Jaguars (Jacksonville, FL)





SUMMARY The Paralegal supports the Deputy General Counsel and SVP & General Counsel in all legal matters, including preparing and reviewing key business agreements, transactions, workers compensation, and overseeing the Jaguars insurance policies.


  • Assist the Deputy General Counsel and SVP & General Counsel in support of all legal matters, including transactions and litigation.
  • Manage overall workflow for legal department.
  • Track status of various contracts and documents and prompt internal departments regarding status.
  • Implement an effective document management system and serve as custodian of all executed contracts, policies and other legal documents.
  • Draft, review and assist with structuring various contracts including but not limited to: sponsorship agreements, trade agreements, suite agreements, employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, nondisclosure agreements, broadcasting agreements, talent agreements, and various other marketing, vendor and services agreements.
  • Review advertising and promotional material to ensure compliance with NFL rules.
  • Provide oversight, registration and enforcement of portfolio of intellectual property.
  • Draft promotions rules and file registrations as appropriate with the Florida DOA.
  • Draft waivers and releases for various events, activations and promotions.
  • Analyze various operational policies and procedures with respect to best practices. Draft executive summaries, reports and policies based on findings.
  • Manage the administration of workers comp claims, liability claims and other litigation through the investigation, documentation, analysis, and monitoring and consultation with outside counsel.
  • Responsible for all applications, submissions, administration and compliance associated with insurance programs and policy terms and conditions.
  • Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect the company and provide factual and legal research on key issues.
  • Manage various legal projects and deadlines as liaison to internal departments.
  • Participate in training and development initiatives as needed.
  • Perform other general legal responsibilities as requested.


  • 4-year college degree required
  • JD or paralegal certification preferred
  • 3-6 years of legal experience
  • In-house experience preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented, highly organized, and proactive
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and deadlines with accuracy
