The internship program is a comprehensive and flexible strategy of applied learning incorporated into the college curriculum to enable the student to define, evaluate and achieve career-related objectives. This learning is based upon supervised work experiences in departments throughout the organization.

The internship program offers students opportunities for personal, technical and professional development and practical, “hands on” experience working under the guidance of our department heads. Students learn technical skills, knowledge and behaviors critical to successful performance on the job. Interns also have the opportunity to work and network with industry professionals and local business leaders.

Specific objectives for each intern are established by closely examining the intern’s background, selecting those areas of professional development that need greater emphasis, and working collaboratively with the intern to establish training objectives that will integrate, supplement and enhance the student’s academic program.

We accept candidates from all major areas of study for internships; however, we attempt to match appropriate majors with the department offering the internship. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are seeking an enthusiastic Flash Developer/Animator Intern with solid attention to detail, a sense of urgency and a strong desire for ownership of a Creative Services department for an NFL team. The intern reports to the Director of Creative Services and is responsible for supporting all day to day operations of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers creative services environment. The appropriate candidate will be hands-on and should have the following qualifications:
Develop flash ads, banners, site intros, and presentations for web site. Create graphic and Flash elements for sales presentations. Design animations for video projects using Adobe After Effects. This position will also allow the intern exposure to other technologies to learn such as 3D Studio, Lightwave and Combustion.
The Graphic Artist and Flash Animator work together to build Microsites and other large scope projects. The Flash Animator will also work with the video producer to create Buccaneers.com and Gameday video spots.
Additional duties include working with Web Engineer to create new and update existing web pages and website elements.
Job Duties:
• Maintain/Update design components of Buccaneers.com
• Create Gameday animations for the jumbotron such as the Ford Flex Player of the Week and prompts for Touchdown, Great Catch, Red Zone, etc.
• Support other departments with design projects such as the Marketing Presentation and Pewter Partner collateral.
• Support print production when needed on Ticketing Items, Cheerleading, etc.
• Encode videos
• Manage Design Assets such as purchased stock photos and illustrations, as well as Buccaneers Logos, fonts, player cut-outs, etc.
• Design graphics for news stories such as next year’s game in London story.
• Ongoing research of latest technologies, design trends, program add-ons.

Training Camp Assistant - Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Tampa, fl)

Training Camp Assistants work within the Special Events & Team Operations department for the duration of Training Camp in Tampa from late July through late August.

Assistants aid in the execution of Camp logistics including but not limited to Camp set-up the week before Camp opens and load-out when Camp breaks; managing transportation shuttle service between Team Hotel and Team Headquarters as well as airport arrivals/departures; coordinating and executing Accreditation, VIP Guest Arrivals, Check-In and Hospitality; Fan Services (giveaways and promotions, parking, tickets, directional support) and coordinating daily on-field Junior Gatorade Training Camp sessions. Assistants support other departments’ Training Camp needs on a daily basis or as needed (Community Relations, Marketing, Food & Beverage, Training, Football and Cheerleading) and will manage the Team Operations Camp office at the team hotel and support all hotel needs (load-in, beverage stations, signage, load-out). Camp Assistants will help coordinate and execute all event needs relating to the Stadium Night Practice occurring during Camp as well as other team functions as requested, in addition to helping with some season game day and team travel preparations.

Assistants are paid bi-weekly and receive room & board.

• Open and organize Community Relations department mail to be distributed for donation requests, player appearances and fan packs
• Screen and answer phone calls for the Community Relations department and direct the calls to the appropriate personnel.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of all autographed memorabilia.
• Submit and track Purchase Orders (PO).
• Perform other duties as assigned by Director and Coordinators.
