Normal work hours: Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. However, this position requires a flexible schedule and the ability to potentially work evenings and weekends.

SUMMARY: This post-graduate internship will provide the opportunity to work alongside the team’s Graphic Designers and Production Manager to develop agency-quality design and provide production support for the Denver Broncos, Stadium Management Company and Denver Outlaws.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

Include, but are not limited to:

Ability to think conceptually and help generate big ideas

Assist in the creation, design and production of:

  • Promotional materials (Posters, flyers, pocket schedules, postcards, photo cards)

POSITION OVERVIEW: 
The Indianapolis Colts have an immediate opening for a highly motivated content creator to fill the Video Production Intern position. This individual will work closely with our production, digital and social media teams to produce engaging videos for all Colts properties including TV, social, web, stadium and commercial production.  This is an eleven month paid internship that will require additional evening and weekend hours as dictated by the department’s schedule and gameday responsibilities.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:    

- Responsible for shooting, editing and posting player interviews and press conferences to colts.com and other related digital properties
- Heavily involved in capturing footage of community events and creating stories for TV/web with or without a reporter
- Assist in all aspects of producing Colts TV shows
- Assist with capture, log and archive of gameday footage
- Gameday duties as assigned that could include shooting and/or editing highlights for in-stadium video boards

Information Technology Internship - MetLife Stadium - MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, NJ)

MetLife Stadium - Internship - Information Technology

This is an unpaid internship opportunity for currently enrolled college students, ideally gaining academic credit for the program. 

Interested college students applying for an Information Technology Internship will observe, learn and contribute to  the “behind the scenes” technical aspects that is required for a Stadium with (2) NFL teams, numerous concert events, major soccer games, college football and family - type events.  Due to the unique Stadium schedule the IT intern would be required to attend events during the evening, weekends and often, holidays.  This internship provides a unique perspective as to the technology and requirements that are necessary for an operation of this size.

The intern will work closely with the IT Department including it’s' managers, administrators and helpdesk technicians. This internship will allow the student to work with each department within the Stadium regarding computer needs, technical issues and resolutions. The uniqueness of this particular spot will enable the student to engage in all areas within the Stadium:  Facility and Event Operations, Administration, Security, Guest Services, Broadcasting, Facility Operations, Finance, etc.  The student will have hands-on interaction which will encourage and conduct themselves in a professional manner.

Some of the areas that will be included, but not limited to:

  • Evaluating text file output and creating actionable items from it
  • Understanding the inventory control process:  laptops, cell phones, TV’s, Spare PC’s, toners, etc. and participating in the updating of same
  • Working under the guidance of the helpdesk technicians, intern will acquire the skills to repair or set up copiers, projectors, laptops, cell phones, etc.
  • Pre-concert checks:  TV’s
  • Upkeep Data Center:  Patch wires, remove unused equipment, place items on server racks
  • Understand the timekeeping software (ABI) and issues with terminal, contacting the company and having discussion regarding repair

This internship is unpaid. Interns are scheduled approximately 3 days per week and will include nights, weekends and holidays based on the unique stadium schedule.  This is an opportunity for currently enrolled college students only.

The Football Video Intern will work directly with the Miami Dolphins Director of Football Video to supplement and enhance any and all needs of the video department throughout the entire season.

Training Camp- Operations Intern - Washington Redskins (Richmond, VA)

The Washington Redskins are seeking enthusiastic and driven individuals to serve as Operations Interns for the 2017 Training Camp in Richmond, Virginia.  Working directly with the Manager of Guest Experience, you will help execute the overall plan to enhance the Redskins Fan Experience.  As an Operations Intern, you will assist the Redskins Operations Team with the setup, execution, and breakdown of the Redskins Training Camp.

The Washington Redskins Communications Department offers season-long internships.  The internships are designed for either undergraduate or graduate students and are unpaid positions.  All candidates must be able to receive course-credit for the internship.  The intern will have the opportunity to learn about the responsibilities of a National Football League communications staff while working as a member of the department and assisting in its day-to-day functions. 

            Interns must be able to work extended hours including some nights and weekends.  A background in public/media relations or sports management is strongly encouraged.  Candidates must possess strong written and oral communication skills.  The intern will be required to participate in a mandatory background check and drug testing at the beginning of the internship. 

 

Fall Internship Responsibilities (August – December)

 

  • Aid in facilitation and coordination of player and coach interviews.
  • Help with production and editing of the team’s media guide, weekly release and various publications.
  • Facilitate various requests by media members for information, statistics, etc.
  • Assist in distribution of credentials on a daily basis well as for home games.
  • Oversee daily newspaper clips and their distribution.
  • Assist in transcribing and distribution of daily quotes.
  • Monitor player interviews during open locker room.
  • Maintain the media room at Redskins Park, keeping it fully stocked with updated team information.
  • Assist with preseason and home games.
  • Prepare press box for game day.
  • Research statistical information for management, coaches, scouts and internal department as needed.
  • Attend and assist with community events.
  • General office work to include email, phones, faxes, sending packages, etc.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Communications staff.

WRCF Special Events & Programs Intern - Washington Redskins (Ashburn, VA)

The Washington Redskins are seeking qualified individuals to join the Community Relations/Charitable Foundation Department as an intern. The individual will have the opportunity to learn about the responsibilities of a National Football League Community Relations Department and Charitable Foundation by working as a member of the team and assisting in its day-to-day operations.

It is preferable that the intern is able to start on or around May 22, 2017. Candidate MUST be able to work at least 40 hours a week. The ideal candidate will be able to receive college credit for a year-long internship experience; however, exceptional applicants only available for one semester internships will still be considered.

 

Internship Responsibilities

Assisting in the coordination and implementation of Charitable Foundation and Community Relations Department programs and events including, but not limited to:

·         Assist in the planning, coordination and promotion of multiple high-profile events including but not limited to the Redskins 56th annual Welcome Home Luncheon, the only time the entire Redskins organization gathers for a single event off the field and the Foundation’s largest event, and the Redskins Runway Show.

·         Assist with the development, marketing and promotion, and ultimately the execution of numerous fundraising initiatives including but not limited to the Redskins Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirt campaign and Redskins License Plate program.

·         Manage specific aspects of the Foundation’s 50/50 Raffle program during the planning process ahead of the 2017 season including but not limited to developing a marketing and promotion plan, hiring of gameday staff, coordinating with volunteer groups, and much more. 

·         Manage all event Silent Auctions including strategy development, marketing and promotion, and management of item procurement through relationship building with local businesses and organizations.

·         Aid the Development team in designing new communication strategies including but not limited to the Foundation’s social media presence (Twitter and Instagram) and e-newsletter platforms.

  • Support the Development team in the execution of Foundation sponsorship contracts including print advertising, special events, hospitality and in-game promotion.

·         Work directly with the Director of Special Events on business development.

·         Manage select event vendor relationships on behalf of the Foundation.

·         Write articles for team publications.

Strategic Marketing Intern - Summer 2017 - Washington Redskins (Ashburn, VA)

The Washington Redskins are seeking Strategic Marketing interns to assist with sponsor sales and research during the 2017 summer.

This individual will have the opportunity to learn about the responsibilities of a National Football League Marketing Department by working as a member of the strategic marketing team and supporting in its day-to-day operations.

It is preferable that the intern is able to start on or around May 15, 2017. Opportunity to stay on-board through fall 2017 is also available.

Job responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

·         Support the strategic marketing team in a variety of projects

·         Assist in pitch preparation for the sales team as well as other research/strategic planning projects

·         Utilize Nielsen Scarborough and other research outlets to incorporate into pitches (prior knowledge preferred but not required)

·         Maintain and continuously update the master pitch deck and inventory of all sellable sponsorship assets

·         Assist with any prospect/client-related matters that may develop over the course of the internship

Qualifications:

·         Must be able to receive college credit (graduate or undergraduate) for the internship

·         20-25 hours per week

·         Ability to commute to Redskins Park located in Ashburn, VA

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Above average skills in PowerPoint

·         Proven experience to appropriately work with and around confidential information

BROADCASTING
Get hands-on experience producing and editing web videos, assisting producers with TV shows, documentaries and much more! *This is not a Radio Play-by-Play, or live production internship. This is post-production based internship.*

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to multi-task

  • Proficient in broadcast style cameras (Panasonic P2) and DSLR filming (Canon 5D Mark III)
  • An understanding of 'sequencing' and ‘storytelling’ in terms of video production
  • Basic knowledge of Mac operating system, Microsoft Word, Office, Excel

DUTIES:

  • Shoot, edit and upload player and coach press conferences and other web content to redskins.comTV
  • Help producers with shows as needed (schedule guests, log/digitize video, write scripts, generate ideas)
  • Edit and produce commercials and demos for various Redskins productions
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of show sets
  • Working with online CMS to organize video on redskins.com.

The Washington Redskins are seeking interns to support 2017 Training Camp marketing initiatives and activations during the Team’s official Training Camp program at Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center in Richmond, VA. Candidate must have housing in Richmond, Virginia and be available to work from late July-Mid August. (Exact dates, TBD based on Football Schedule.)

Communications Summer Intern - Washington Redskins (Ashburn, VA)

The Washington Redskins Communications Department offers summer, season-long and spring internships. The internships are designed for either undergraduate or graduate students and are unpaid positions. All candidates must be able to receive course credit for the internship. The intern will have the opportunity to learn about the responsibilities of a National Football League communications staff while working as a member of the department and assisting in its day-to-day functions. 

            Interns must be able to work extended hours including some nights and weekends. A background in public/media relations or sport management is strongly encouraged. Candidates must possess strong written and oral communication skills. The intern will be required to participate in a mandatory background check and drug testing at the beginning of the internship. 

Summer Internship Responsibilities (May – July)

  • Oversee the compilation and distribution of daily news clips.
  • Write and edit material for use in the team’s annual media guide.
  • Assist with Mini Camp and OTAs.
  • Aid in facilitation and coordination of player and coach interviews.
  • Assist with transcribing daily quotes.
  • Facilitate various requests by media members for information, statistics, etc.
  • Assist with Training Camp credential preparation.
  • Research statistical information for management, coaches, scouts and other personnel as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Communications staff.

Intern Candidate Requirements:

  • Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate/graduate student.
  • Candidate MUST receive college credit in order to qualify for this internship – proof of credit letter from your College or University is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Can work independently when given a task and have the focus to follow through and follow up if problems arise.
