INTERN- Corporate Partnerships - Detroit Lions (Detroit, MI)

Description:

Ford Field Management, LLC is Detroit’s premier sports and entertainment destination and is the game day home of the Detroit Lions.  Throughout the year, Ford Field hosts events such as concerts, motorsports, college sports, high school and college graduations, and more.  Ford Field also has space available for conferences, meetings, and banquets.  Ford Field has hosted major events such as Super Bowl XL and the 2009 NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four.

Ford Field Management and the Detroit Lions currently have a need for a Corporate Partnerships Intern.  This position is based out of the Ford Field stadium located in Downtown Detroit.  This position will report to the Senior Manager of Partnership Services and is a short-term 40-hours-per-week paid internship that will run from August 2016 through mid-January 2017. Candidates must have the ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of this position which will include working major scheduled events on nights, weekends, and holidays. 

Candidates must provide own housing and transportation to and from Ford Field and designated offsite locations.

The Corporate Partnerships Intern helps execute sponsorship contracts and aids in the sales and proposal process for the Corporate Partnerships Department with the Detroit Lions. The role is responsible for assisting with sponsorship activation at all home games, events and other corporate partnership related activities. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (including, but not limited to):

The Corporate Partnerships Intern position will have daily responsibilities including, without limitation, the following:

  • Perform inventory check for executed sponsorship agreements

  • Organize and keep inventory for our merchandise closet and help with distribution of autographed merchandise

  • Event planning, production and execution for partner sponsored events and/or meetings

  • Assist with ordering vendor and promotional contestant game credentials

  • Work all Detroit Lions homes games and sponsor related events where applicable

  • Manage pre-game field pass credentialing table in Huddle Hall

  • Assist in coordination of events such as Fan Tunnel, Alumni Suite visits

  • Assist in creation of sponsorship/suite proposals & contracts

  • Coordinate with game-day photographer for the day’s shot list and maintain archive of game photos

  • Help process ticket/parking requests throughout the season for Lions games, other stadium events

  • Coordinate with other departments regarding contest winners’ and help facilitate their prizing

  • Help direct sponsor mascots on game-day, assist with in-stadium promotions (ex. lucky rows, giveaways, trivia, etc.)

  • Conduct advertising analysis of opponents’ game programs

  • Coordinate production of year-end sponsorship reviews

NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Able to work extended hours including games and events in the evening and on weekends

  • Attention to detail, multi-tasking skills and the ability to thrive in a deadline driven environment

  • Minimum computer aptitude required: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (including, but not limited to):

The Detroit Lions Cheerleaders Program Intern position will have daily responsibilities including, without limitation, the following:

  • Administrative support for planning appearances, events, rehearsals, games
  • Social media planning, research, and execution; including photos and video execution and inventory
  • Rehearsal support regarding learning and videotaping choreography, music support, logistics
  • Game day planning, preparation and on field assistance
  • Provide administrative support as requested
  • Provide assistance with cheerleaders for booking appearances/events, researching clients and providing team with supplies and equipment for events
  • Assist with preparing rehearsals, executing rehearsal agenda
  • Learn and keep video inventory of all team choreography
  • Research, plan, and execute social media posts on various platforms throughout the course of the season at various events, appearances, and rehearsals

The Internship:

The Jacksonville Jaguars (the “Jaguars”) are currently looking for a student to shadow the Ticketing Department as part of the Jaguars internship program. JOB SUMMARY

The CMMS Intern will be responsible for equipment data collection, preventative maintenance scheduling, data reporting and CMMS end user training.  

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Equipment Data Collection & Maintenance

  • Document all equipment in the building and identify appropriate PM schedules with assistance of Heinz Field staff

  • Coordinate walkthroughs of the building to become familiar with equipment

  • Take photos and scan in necessary spec sheets to attach to equipment records within the system

  • Create a quality and efficient asset based preventative maintenance program

Work Orders

  • Assist with creation of work order template for various types or work – (PM, Event Requests, Repair work, etc.)

  • Setup work order system for use with ipads

Preventative Maintenance Scheduling

  • Create preventative maintenance schedules based on assets

Event Maintenance

  • Establish procedures for follow up on event day maintenance issues

  • Will create documented accountability for repairs and maintenance reported on event days

Reporting

End User Training

  • Provides training to CMMS end users

2016 Video Scouting Internship for Football Season - Sports Info Solutions (Coplay, PA)

Position Overview

Sports Info Solutions (SIS) is looking for highly motivated individuals with a desire to work in the football industry.  Video Scouts will have a chance to make an immediate impression on the company. Each Video Scout will be collecting data that is directly used by SIS clients for advance scouting and evaluation purposes.  Not only will the Video Scouts become more familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of hundreds of amateur and professional players, but they will also learn about the ins and outs of the football analytics industry. Numerous Video Scouts have gone on to succeed in jobs with professional sports teams and with SIS in a full-time capacity. 

Strong candidates will possess great attention to detail, basic knowledge about NFL rules and be able to work in a collaborative team environment or independently as needed.


Duration: SIS Video Scouts will report to the SIS office to begin training on August 22nd, 2016. The position will last for a period of six months.


Responsibilities:
•    Score NFL and amateur football games using specialized computer software
•    Review the accuracy and validity of data
•    Prepare and analyze statistical data for delivery to customers
•    Assist with additional projects as instructed by full-time staff
•    Provide administrative support to the full-time staff
 

Qualifications:
•    Demonstrated knowledge of NFL and NCAA rules
•    Ability to identify and differentiate between players 
•    Computer proficiency and the ability to quickly learn new software
•    High attention to detail 
•    High school or college football playing experience is preferred but not necessary
•    Football coaching and/or scouting experience is a plus

Position Description

Sponsorship Marketing & Activation serves the corporate partnerships/business development department of USA Football. The team is responsible for activating sponsorship programs, managing marketing campaigns (digital media, social media, etc.), and providing customer service as part of sponsorship activations and servicing clients. Position Description

USA Football’s National Teams is currently looking to hire a full time, Community Marketing & Relations intern. This position will be responsible for creating awareness, community engagement, and driving attendance to the 2016 International Bowl, played at AT&T Stadium—home of the Dallas Cowboys.

Position Description

USA Football is currently looking to hire multiple U.S. National Team interns that will assist with the recruitment of middle school and high school aged athletes to progress through the U.S. National Team program. Selected candidates will gain invaluable experience interfacing directly with customers (parents, players, and coaches) throughout athletes’ registration process. Once registered, interns will oversee an athletes’ post-registration engagement.

This role will also require candidates to manage the U.S. National Team’s CRM system, including the processing of player evaluations conducted on-site. Internships may include working on-site at Regional Development Camps and other USA Football events.

Specific responsibilities include:

Photography Intern - Washington Redskins (Ashburn, VA)

The Washington Redskins Photography Department offers summer, season-long and spring internships.  The internships are designed for either undergraduate or graduate students and are unpaid positions.  All candidates must be able to receive course-credit for the internship.  The intern will have the opportunity to learn about the responsibilities of a National Football League communications staff while working as a member of the department and assisting in its day-to-day functions.

Summer Internship Responsibilities (August - January)

  • Helping the team photographer with all photo shoot requests, including equipment needs and set up (lighting/backdrops/scenery, etc.)
