SUMMARY:  The Indianapolis Colts are currently seeking a motivated and creative candidate with a strong interest in photography and football to join the Colts photo team as a full time intern.  The Photography Intern will assist the Team Photographer with archiving, editing, shooting and other daily responsibilities during the 2017 season.

DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES:

·         Photo support for Stadium, Community and Staff events

·         Photo support at all Colts home games

·         Scanning and digitizing of the Colts physical archive

·         Assist with updating Colts digital archive

·         Assist with player marketing photo shoots

·         Assist with all cheerleader photo shoots

·         Assist Team Photographer with studio/equipment set-up and tear down

·         Assist with archiving of photos

·         Assist in facilitating internal and external photo requests

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Photojournalism/Photo/Art

·         Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Photo Mechanic, Adobe Lightroom, Photo Shelter

·         Sports photography experience preferred

·         Photo editing experience preferred

·         Photo archiving experience preferred

·         Working knowledge in studio and location lighting

·         Working knowledge in DSLR camera systems

The Minnesota Vikings are seeking a PR Intern to assist with the day-to-day operation of supporting the communications team.  The ideal candidate will have PR experience in sports, media or a PR agency and excellent attention to detail.  This position is full-time and will extend through the duration of the 2017 football season. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Assist in design, layout, writing and editing content for annual team media guide published each offseason distributed to media, coaching staffs and club executives throughout the NFL.

  • Assist with media interview requests (coaches, players and staff).

  • Assist with responding and fulfilling all photo and donation requests for the department.

  • Updating the layout and production of gameday materials including but not limited to the flipcard, press box seating chart, pregame notes documents and other press materials.

  • Execute gameday activities, including setting up the press box, assisting media with gameday stats, and coordinating gameday staff.

  • Regularly set up, transcribe and tear down weekly press conferences.

  • Transcribe and distribute player, coaches and executives quotes. 

  • Assist the department with the media credential request and distribution process.

  • Maintain the media work room at Winter Park as well as the PR work room at U.S. Bank Stadium

  • Disseminate daily injury report.

  • Handle all logistics for media shoots at the Winter Park facility.

       Help with creating mail and email merges in order to reach current clients and prospects.

       Student will also help with researching contact information for any prospective clients or referrals.

The Washington Redskins are seeking qualified individuals to join the Community Relations/Charitable Foundation Department as an Intern. Overview of Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation and Community Relations Department

The Redskins Charitable Foundation is ever-present in the community, constantly working to achieve our mission to make a positive and measurable impact in the lives of children that need it most.

Since Redskins owners Dan and Tanya Snyder created the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation in 2000, we have given back nearly $20M to the community and currently provide support and services to more than 190,000 individuals (mostly children) annually, focusing on supporting education, children’s health and wellness and preparing them for their future. 

Internship Responsibilities

Assisting in the coordination and implementation of Charitable Foundation and Community Relations Department programs and events including, but not limited to:

  • Special Event Assistance – Support entire department around Fall special events, including weekly, monthly and annual Charitable Foundation and Community Relations programs that focus on education, health and wellness and community outreach
  • Donation Fulfillment - Coordinate all monthly merchandise donations including the database management/tracking of all requests, donation fulfillment and inventory management.

·         Redskins FITT – Monitor and update status of school and non-profit organization involvement for the 2017-2018 Redskins FITT Program

Internship Responsibilities

Assisting in the coordination and implementation of Charitable Foundation and Community Relations Department programs and events including, but not limited to:

  • Special Event Assistance – Support entire department around special events, including assist with the planning and execution of weekly, monthly and annual Charitable Foundation and Community Relations programs that focus on education, health and wellness and community outreach
  • Program Tracking – Monitor and update status of school and non-profit programming, including Redskins Replay and the 2017 – 2018 Redskins Read Program
  • Fan Inquiries – Respond to fan requests via phone, email and mail
  • Research Projects – Assist with researching various youth programs and potential non-profit partners throughout the DC Metro Area.
  • Social Media Assistance – Create thoughtful and engaging posts for the Redskins Charitable Foundation’s Twitter and Instagram accounts
  • Donation Fulfillment - Coordinate all monthly merchandise donations including the database management/tracking of all requests, donation fulfillment and inventory management.
  • Writing Assistance – Assist in writing articles for team publication
  • 2017 Home Games Responsibility – Assist at home games for the Redskins Charitable Foundation, duties could include coordinating youth teams or organizations, delivering in-game fan packs, etc.

The right individual will be able to work as part of a team or individually. The ideal candidate must be able to receive college credit for a semester-long internship experience. Overview of Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation and Community Relations Department

The Redskins Charitable Foundation is ever-present in the community, constantly working to achieve our mission to make a positive and measurable impact in the lives of children that need it most.

Since Redskins owners Dan and Tanya Snyder created the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation in 2000, we have given back nearly $20M to the community and currently provide support and services to more than 190,000 individuals (mostly children) annually, focusing on supporting education, children’s health and wellness and preparing them for their future. 

Internship Responsibilities

Assisting in the coordination and implementation of Charitable Foundation and Community Relations Department programs and events including, but not limited to:

  • Special Event Assistance – Support entire department around summer special events, including Redskins Back to School Fair and Training Camp Community Events

·         Redskins FITT – Monitor and update status of school and non-profit organization involvement for the 2017-2018 Redskins FITT Program

·         Youth Football – Coordinate and develop Youth Football initiatives including Special Olympics Flag Football Season Opener, mini-combines and High School Coaches Clinic

  • Research Projects – Assist with researching various youth programs and potential non-profit partners throughout the DC Metro Area.
  • Social Media Assistance – Create thoughtful and engaging posts for the Redskins Charitable Foundation’s Twitter and Instagram accounts
  • 2017 Pre-Season Home Games Responsibility – Assist at home pre-season games for the Redskins Charitable Foundation, duties could include coordinating youth teams or organizations, delivering in-game fan packs, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Intern Candidate Requirements:

  • Full-time undergraduate/graduate student
  • Candidate MUST receive college credit in order to qualify for this internship – proof of credit letter from your College or University is required
  • Polite, positive, self-starter who works well with others
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Can work independently when given a task and have the focus to follow through & follow-up if problems arise
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite proficient)
  • Proactive in asking questions when needed
  • Team player, humble enough to handle a variety of tasks; no job beneath them
  • Ability to handle physical requirements of job including setting up equipment for events and other light to medium lifting
  • Ability to interact with players, staff, and the community in a professional manner
  • Proven experience to appropriately work with and around confidential information is necessary

Redskins Broadcast Network 2017 Season Intern - Washington Redskins (Ashburn, VA)

The Washington Redskins are looking for interns for the 2017 NFL Season. We provide hard-working, dedicated, knowledgeable, and exceptional people with internships in the professional NFL industry.

BROADCASTING
Get hands-on experience producing and editing web videos, assisting producers with TV shows, documentaries and much more! *This is not a Radio Play-by-Play, or live production internship. This is post-production based internship.*

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to multi-task
  • Punctuality and accountability
  • Positive attitude and willingness to go the ‘extra mile’
  • Need to receive college credit (no exceptions)
  • Need to provide own transportation to Redskins Park
  • Must be able to commit to entire NFL season (mid August-January)

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite & Final Cut Pro
  • Proficient in techniques in Non-linear editing systems
  • Proficient in broadcast style cameras (Panasonic P2) and DSLR filming (Canon 5D Mark III)
  • An understanding of 'sequencing' and ‘storytelling’ in terms of video production
  • Basic knowledge of Mac operating system, Microsoft Word, Office, Excel
  • Must provide link to relevant resume reel in Cover Letter

 

DUTIES:

  • Shoot, edit and upload player and coach press conferences and other web content to redskins.comTV
  • Help producers with shows as needed (schedule guests, log/digitize video, write scripts, generate ideas)
  • Edit and produce commercials and demos for various Redskins productions
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of show sets
  • Working with online CMS to organize video on redskins.com.
