Overview:

Digital Media Video Intern - Seattle Seahawks (Renton, WA)

SUMMARY

The Digital Media Video Production Intern will observe and assist the Seattle Seahawks digital media team with the daily management and production of the organization’s online video content.  This position will also assist in management of the organization’s other digital content plan when needed. 

By the end of the internship, the intern will have received first-hand experience in digital media video production, content production for digital media platforms, and videography in a collaborative team and departmental environment.

The intern will be expected to learn and take feedback heavily throughout experience and extensive resources will be available to facilitate the edification process at the intern’s initiative.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This internship's workload will be divided as follows: 80% video production, 15% non-video content management, 5% other digital media
  • Act as web videographer for press conferences and press events
  • Produce, shoot and edit online video packages
  • Setup and teardown of live webcasts
  • Management of assigned site features
  • Produce assigned site content features (written, photo, video)
  • Facilitate quality assurance of site features
  • Interview and host video packages when needed
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders on digital media projects
  • Work with internal departments (Public Relations, Community Outreach, Fan Development and Marketing) in fulfilling digital media needs as requested
  • Expected to work both home and away games including weekends and evenings

REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluent understanding of the video production process

The Seahawks Digital Media Internship is a hands-on program designed to develop digital media professionals in the sports industry.   • Trafficking of website advertisements and reporting for corporate partners
  • Reporting of key metrics and analytics to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the management of official mobile applications throughout the season and on game days
  • Posting of content (articles, press releases, photo galleries, videos) to official websites using a content management system
  • Collaborate and communicate with social managers in developing content calendar

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Groundskeeping Internship is designed to provide work experience for current or recent graduates of an accredited Turf Management Program from June – August 2016.

This position reports to the Groundskeeping Manager.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in athletic field aerification, topdressing, vertical mowing, etc.
  • Assist in implementation of the athletic fields and landscape fertility program
  • Perform irrigation repairs and system maintenance
  • Assist in cultural practices necessary to maintain the grounds at the highest level possible
  • Assist with all aspects of field painting operations

 

Requirements:

  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to work 40+ hours per week as well as weekends and nights
  • Ability to lift/move 50+  pounds and be exposed to temperature/humidity extremes
  • Possess a professional and ambitious attitude toward learning and working in what can be a very demanding program

Position Description

USA Football is seeking a highly motivated person who will serve as a member of the Football Operations Team and work to improve USA Football’s education resources.  This may include the Heads Up Football program for both youth and high school, our coach certification courses and the testing of USA Football’s player development strategy.  

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Support the Football Operations Department in the gathering of information that will support our comparative analysis to identify opportunities in the marketplace.

Seasonal Communications Intern - Washington Redskins (Ashburn, VA)

The Washington Redskins Communications Department offers season-long internships.  The internships are designed for either undergraduate or graduate students and are unpaid positions.  All candidates must be able to receive course-credit for the internship.  The intern will have the opportunity to learn about the responsibilities of a National Football League communications staff while working as a member of the department and assisting in its day-to-day functions.
