Position Summary

The Analytics Intern will work with the football operations staff on a wide range of analytical topics. Candidates will primarily assist in managing and analyzing data. Successful candidates will have strong quantitative skills and the technical ability to implement ideas. The internship will expose candidates to the day-to-day work of a modern NFL front office.


·       Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

·       Experience in statistics, econometrics, or machine learning.

·       Experience with data management and analysis in statistical software (e.g. R, STATA).

·       Good communication skills.

·       Ability to work independently with a hands-on approach.

Football Operations: Team Administration/Operations
U.S. National Teams Football Operations Manager - USA Football (Indianapolis, IN)

Summary: USA Football is seeking a dynamic Football Operations Manager to join our team. The U.S. National Teams Football Operation Manager will work with USA Football staff on a variety of U.S. National Team Football Operations initiatives including coach management/logistics, athlete selection, on-field football implementation and general football operations management.  This position will review USA Football’s current Football Operation strategy and work to implement efficiencies for all U.S. National Team programs.  This includes both pre-event logistical planning and on-site implementation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help develop a strategic plan to build coaching staffs and football operations staffs for designated U.S. National Team programs.
  • Review all current coach hiring resources and processes to identify areas of improvement.
  • Hire Regional Development Camp coaches and scouts across 30 events.
  • Communicate and build relationships with Regional Camp coaches and scouts.
  • Work with finance and accounting to ensure all coaches and scouts are paid
  • Support Head Camp Coaches on site at events.
  • Gather feedback from coaches for each event (Regional Development Camp, National Development Games, Training Camps for International Competitions) to ensure that the programs are best-in-class and cutting edge.
  • Collaborate with designated medical staff (team physician, trainers) and USA Football staff on a medical and anti-doping protocol document and communication plan.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Extensive collegiate football operation experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required
  • Detailed-oriented and able to work independently required
  • Proficient in office software (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and Google Docs applications required
