Digital Media Producer - Atlanta Falcons Football Club, LLC (Flowery Branch, GA)

With a rich history since our inception in 1965, the Atlanta Falcons Football Club has evolved to become one of the National Football League’s premier teams on and off the field under current owner Arthur Blank’s leadership.  We are part of the Blank Family of Businesses and share a strong organizational culture, rooted in our core values and lived through our associates.  We play our home games at the Georgia Dome in downtown Atlanta, but construction is beginning on a new retractable roof stadium, opening for the 2017 season.  The new facility will allow us to provide a world-class experience for fans, both on Falcons game days and for many other marquee events.  Our headquarters and practice facilities are currently located on a 50-acre campus in Flowery Branch. 

Position Summary

Our Digital Media Producer will assist with daily content creation for Falcons’ digital media distribution channels, including the team’s official website, microsites and social channels. The position will report to the Manager of Social and Digital Production.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Help create and manage weekly editorial calendar for Atlanta Falcons’ web properties, assisting in updating those properties accordingly.
  • Write unique, compelling short and long form articles covering Falcons-related activities both on and off the field.
  • Assist Manager of Social & Digital production with various social initiatives and potentially help with day-to-day management of one of Falcons’ official social properties.
  • Conduct player interviews and cover practice.
  • Create and publish photo galleries for Falcons’ web properties.
  • Create landing pages on Falcons’ web properties for specific events, campaigns or sponsorship activations.
  • Continuously update “static pages” on team’s official website, including:
    • Player, coach & staff member bio pages
    • Official roster & depth chart
    • Schedule page
    • Transactions page
    • Section landing pages
  • Will travel to Georgia Dome, new stadium construction site, community outreach events and off-site sponsorship activations.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training or experience required.
  • 2+ years of experience in Digital Media, Interactive Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field.

Required Skills

  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines and think creatively.
  • Excellent writing and proof-reading skills, including superior attention to detail.
  • Availability to work long, irregular hours, including occasional nights and weekends.
  • Strong knowledge/understanding of:
    • HTML5
    • CSS, particularly related to mobile browsers
    • Working with content management systems
    • Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop)
    • JavaScript
  • Must have familiarity with analytics platforms and important web metrics for the purpose of maximizing content consumption and modifying content plans from week to week.
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices.

Multimedia Producer/Editor - New York Jets (Florham Park, NJ)

Job Description:

The Multimedia Producer/Editor will create video content for the New York Jets. Skills include the ability to post-produce/edit content, prepare and set up for shoots, experience working in studios as well as camera shooting capabilities. This new producer/editor must possess great organizational, technical and editing skills.

This role will join a team to create content year-round that showcases the unique personalities of Jets players/coaches and brings to life the preferred narratives of the organization via video content across our broadcast shows, website, social media platforms and stadium presentation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Produce and edit team video content including, but not limited to, Jets television shows, web and social media content, gameday presentation, sales and marketing support and coverage of Jets event/fan engagement opportunities throughout the year
  • Create concepts and stories and produce features on current players and coaches, Jets history, Flight Crew, and Jets events
  • Take an active role in creating and producing content for our live studio productions
  • Interact with the players, coaches and Jets staff to request cooperation with content needs; arrange feature productions, interviews
  • Collaborate with various departments within the Jets organization on content ideas and ensure alignment with all content platforms and deadlines

Experience and Requirements:

  • Need at least 3 years of video production experience working in broadcast, web and live shows.  Gameday presentation experience is a big plus.
  • Skills: Ability to edit and deliver a finished piece including mixing and color correction.
  • Programs: Avid Symphony, Media Composer, Interplay Assist, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and Media Encoder, P2 Viewer, Microsoft Office programs
  • Equipment: Avid Unity, TriCaster, Panasonic P2 HD cameras
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities, and manage several projects simultaneously
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional schedule, including weekends and some holidays
  • Applicants must have their own transportation to report to the office, stadium, location production and other Jets/NFL events
  • Willingness to travel for feature and game production throughout the year
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Standing or sitting for extended periods of time
  • Working in extreme heat or cold weather conditions

Manager, Content - New York Jets (Florham Park, NJ)

Job Summary:
The Manager, Content will focus on the day-to-day planning, creation and execution of the content schedule for nyjets.com – which includes the development, presentation and updating of content for website, as well as the team’s mobile platform and app. In addition, this role will develop and produce content including, but not limited to, social media aggregation articles, stories in photos and other content opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Organize and execute the daily schedule of website content including video, photo and editorial assets
  • Operate the team’s content management system, training others on the system as necessary to assist in posting; schedule and manage system issues or updates as needed, working closely with designated contacts at the NFL league office
  • Manage the approval process for all necessary content
  • Develop content plans, with input from content producing team, for tent pole events, League holidays and regularly-scheduled content franchises, both in and out of season
  • Coordinate promotion of content with social media team
  • Work with Sr. Manager, Digital Strategy on monetization of content assets with sales staff
  • Collaborate with Sr. Manager, Digital Strategy and Digital Media Assistant to optimize and/or create and build web pages for different content opportunities
  • Assist with analyzing data and trends from multiple resources, to help make important and appropriate content modifications and decisions
  • Additional duties as assigned

Experience and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4-6 years of digital or content creation experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to form and present informed recommendations at all levels 
  • Excellent organizational skills and proven attention to detail
  • Able to work long, flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to succeed in a fast paced, deadline driven environment

PR Gameday Assistant - Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Tampa, FL)

Job Summary

Buccaneers PR Gameday Assistants work with the public relations department during all Buccaneers home games, in various roles to serve the needs of the team and local, national and international media.

This is a seasonal, part-time role and is paid an hourly wage.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Set up the press box and broadcast booths prior to media arrival
  • Assist media with questions or requests
  • Assist at credential will call and photography field vest checkout stations
  • Copy and distribute statistics and notes throughout the game
  • Gather and transcribe postgame player/coach media sessions
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Prior experience in sports information or athletic departments
  • Prior experience and proficiency transcribing recordings
  • Must work all 10 Buccaneers home games
  • Ability to assist in game day set-up and breakdown which may require frequent lifting and/or carrying up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work well under pressure and on multiple projects
  • Strong communications skills,
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with others
  • Willing to work in a fast pace environment
  • Flexible and capable in the ability to lead and be led
